Not to mention Extreme Makeovers.

In essence, being created "in the image of God" refers to the characteristics of the human spirit and the ability to make moral judgments - things that are not found in any animal species, even those to whom we are said to be closely related. In answer to why so many ethnic types, if all the people on earth were to intermarry freely, and then break into random groups that kept to themselves, a whole new set of gene combinations would emerge. Even today, within a particular people group you will often see a feature normally associated with another people group. For instance, you will occasionally see a European with a broad flat nose, or a Chinese person with very pale skin or Caucasian eyes. Most scientists now agree that, for modern humans, "race" has little or no biological meaning. This also argues strongly against the idea that the people groups have been evolving separately for long periods.

yeah, but spiritually, not physically.
See, we have feeling of Loyalty, love, justice, truth, and
fair play. That is how we resemble our Father God. That is how we are made in His image....OH yeah...LOVE...Love is the most important feature of all!
Humans on their own don't have a lot of love or morals to back the love idea
Don't believe me? go onto a major highway NOW, go to a shopping Mall now at THE HEIGHT of the CHRISTIAN HOLLI DAY!!! just see how you are treated!
But Man is trying to mold God into Mans image!

Jehovah God is a spirit creature- no body, no form as we perceive such.
Humans are physical beings, as we're all well aware of lol. When it says we're made in his image it's talking about God's attributes: power, justice, wisdom and love.
"The Scriptures contain many direct statements identifying God’s qualities. Note some examples. “Jehovah is a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) God is “exalted in power.” (Job 37:23) “‘I am loyal,’ is the utterance of Jehovah.” (Jeremiah 3:12) “He is wise in heart.” (Job 9:4) He is “a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness and truth.” (Exodus 34:6) “You, O Jehovah, are good and ready to forgive.” (Psalm 86:5) And, as mentioned in the preceding chapter, one quality is predominant: “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) "
That is how people are made in God's image. We each have the choice the be sculpted after God's personality and attributes.
(Information quoted comes from "Draw Close to Jehovah" published by Jehovah's Witnesses)

Yes he did.Genesis 1:26 Then God said, lets make human in our image.
The word our in the sentance is atlking about the trinty. Image in the greek means to be a copy of. If Man is not created in God image , then their is no image which means there would be no life.

The Bible said we were made in God's image. Of course He had to give us a body to live in on earth. This body will not go to Heaven, < ONLY OUR SPI RIT> Read Genesis. It's the very first book in the Bible.

Add an s to 'god' in that second line and you'll be right on both counts. What does God 'look' like? As Spirit, He has no physical form, so that is meaningless. But He is Intelligent and Emotional, which is why we are as well. Fortunately, He is all Loving. We seem to have transmuted that into hate far too often.

well according to Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth
but yeah I think we have created God to fit our needs and desires, which doesn't work that way. Instead of us serving God we try to have God serve us and we have it all backwards.

Man made god in his own image. This explains why so many of the deities throughout the world are known for having human traits: The christian god is vengeful and jealous, zeus was a womanizer, etc. Man has no concept of what a divine being truly is so we create gods that we think are accurate according to our own wants, desires and intentions.
