Why does it seem to take longer to go to the bathroom when you become a teenager, especially guys? Why does it seem like you go more times a day? Say you only went once a day -- then, when become a teen guy, it's more like three to four times a day. Why? What is it that makes my son do this?

Jennifer, I would say that your son is experiencing sexual feelings, maybe he is going to check out his 'bits' or to masturbate.
There was no reason for the other person to get stroppy with you.
Does your son have a lock on his bedroom door? if not then the bathroom is the only place that he feels to indulge in masturbating after all it could be embarrassing for both of you especially if he is having fantasies about his mum (most boys do at some stage)

And why are you being so annal about this? You'll only make things worse. Plus, it sounds like you need to read up on puberty, teens, and becoming an adult.

Well, I'm 16 and yes, I bath longer because I'm now conscious about my hygiene and how I look. Just because he stays in the bathroom longer it doesn't mean that he's masturbating, maybe he's just trying to impress the girls. And yeah, there's a big chance that he's masturbating.

Your son is masturbating and/or checking himself out in the mirror - so let him have his fun and stay out of his business. Jesus Christ.
