Where do you get the idea that heaven is the way you described it? Much of the assumption about heaven is false (floating on clouds, etc). One way we worship God is by doing the things we love. Worshipping God is not about sitting around in a big room singing for eternity.
I highly recommend a book by Randy Alcorn called Heaven. Randy takes all of the verses in the Bible and puts together his thoughts of what heaven may be like. Of course he could be totally off, but it is his best interpretation and doesn't pretend to have all the answers. After reading this book, I finally got a visual of what heaven may be like. You may be pleasantly surprised and very excited to go there.

you do not have a clear vision of Heaven. You do not understand. The idea of being in Heaven and never feeling pain, loss, a place where there is no hate, no violence, just peace, that idea makes my heart soar! The idea of being in Jesus presence all the time, I mean WOW! How could you not want that? I look forward to being there, not only will I be with my Lord and Savior I will be with my son my daughter my mother and my fater! You cant beat that!
I do not think that you wont have things erased I think your priorities will be so different that the things you worry about here wont matter. And that is a Heaven that I look forward to being in!
May God work in your heart and help you to understand.

Where did you get the idea that your personality and your likes and dislikes are erased in Heaven? Understand this much: God is perfect in all ways, and everything on earth came out of His head. Whatever and whoever you loved on earth, you loved because they reminded you of Him in some way, because He is the food your soul was made for. When you look into His face, you'll see there the fullness of everything you ever loved or wanted, and so will everyone else. That will be bliss, not boredom.

Hell yes, that thought used to bother me! I mean, who would like that kind of life?! Well, maybe a suicide who hated themselves would like not remembering their life, but even then I can't say for sure.
Of course, the mormons base half their theology on the idea that we already are living a life having completely forgotten about a previous one.
I got over all those little enrage-iferous quandaries by realizing that those are all just simple ideas. Mine are just as good, since nobody's ideas of the afterlife have any tangible proof. "My holy book says so," or "my minister who is really good says so" are not logical (i.e. testable) evidence of anything.
So I just live my own life and imagine things that make me feel good. Hey, that's what religious people do.

its a limited concept of heaven to say the least.
i think any church or christians that might have that concept, the "deleted" and "erased" part, gets it from scriptures that are talking about people who do not actually go to heaven.
.
earth was created as a copy of heaven. lesser in some degrees since we dont drive on streets of gold...

No, Besides we don't know what heaven is like for sure because no one from heaven has been able to tell us. And if your not aware or erased you won't be aware that you have been erased so it will be perfect.

I think the real question is, how can you enjoy heaven while the tenants of hell are screaming below you?
Could you enjoy heaven while part of humanity is being eternally punished?
This says a lot about the Christian religion - Selfish vanity mingled with fear.

who said your mind would be altered in any way?
the only difference is your mind wont have any sinful inclinations... you'll know people and yourself as God knows you... and there is no better way than that.
think about it, you'll be in the presence of I AM... the one who has always been and always will be... He's perfect in beauty, beyond even our concept of perfect... moses was turned into a grey-hair and his skin gave a glow just from seeing His Hand!! you take a look at the glory of God and you wont have a desire for anything else other than to give yourself to Him.
now consider the alternative... being in an eternal prison held over a pit of about several billions of people burning in hot agony, some kind of torment- thats all we know for sure... and that alone is enough to deter me and should be enough for anyone and everyone. if you were to look into the bowels of hell, it'd probably cause your bowels to quake. fear is a wonderful thing if it drives you away from that place.

Plenty of room down below - not to worry
1Cr 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
