My boyfriend and I have been together a little over two months. We do everything together and we really mean a lot to each other. He is there for me when I need him and right now he is my best friend. But, we still haven't said that we loved each other. I've felt serious feelings for him for a few weeks now but I'm to afraid to say anything to him for fear that he won't feel the same. Our relationship is fantastic the way it is and I would hate to ruin it. But, is it worth being in a relationship if I can't tell him how I feel? I would just like to hear another perspective.

My girlfriend and I told each other how we felt after about a month and a half. It seems like you're in the same kind of deal. My girlfriend and I hang out all the time, are each others best friends, etc. It;s a great thing.

Keep in mind that he probably wants to tell you and is wondering the same thing. I'd say go ahead and tell him how you feel.

I've been in this situation twice. The first time, we talked about it and decided not to say it unless we really meant it. After a month, he said it to me, but I couldn't say it back. He wasn't expecting me to and that felt great. However, it got awkward when he'd tell me I love you every night and I couldn't say anything in return. So we came up with an alternate thing to say. After A LOT of brainstorming, we decided to say something that is meaningful and true for both of us, "You're my inspiration." It was such a cool thing to say, because that's just how I saw him. And it was unique to us and our relationship. I wished that could love him, but at the time, I wasn't ready, and he didn't end up being the right one. Now I can look back and know that I didn't have to lie or regret saying something so special that I hoped to save. The guy I'm with now, I can truly say that I love. Saying it to him feels right...very different relationship and it fits and feels so great to say my feelings. Whatever you decide to do, I highly advice you to save those special words for when both of you can really mean it. I know it's a hard conversation to have, but talk with him about it. He's probably sweating too. If you both can't say I love you, or you just want to wait till you're sure, come up with something else meaningful for both of you to say to express your feelings.

Some guys just won't say it first. Go ahead and tell him how you feel. I bet he will say he loves you too. Two months is plenty of time if you are seeing each other exclusively.

You should tell him when you're ready to say that to him. I think once you said it, he will say the same thing too.

Say it when you're ready, the right moment, don't just say it, and not really mean it.
