Wow, 7hours and still no one has spotted that it is because there are 7 more bottles...
1,984 is 7 more than 1,977

It can either be

*a better vintage
*the wine made in 1977 yielded more bottles than the one in 1984

Both can be possibilities of whey that later vintage is worth more.

It's also possible that the 1977 has "peaked" or started it's decline by now... it totally depends on what wine it is, how it was aged, and what the vintage year was like.

it is probably a better vintage or in 1984 there might have been less yield therefor making it harder to get.
