How can a person collect over 1,000 points a day?

I came upon this best answer in other US travel by trying to give good answers while I was receiving radiation therapy and couldn't do much else.

It's no big deal, I have no reached Level 7 and there's not place left to go.

I try not to intrude on someone else's answer unless I feel theirs is grossly wrong or I feel I can improve upon theirs.

The perso I feel is reporting my questions a soliciting, refering someone to the Better Business Bureau or CLark Howard, and voting no best answer has been accumulating thousands of points a day. If you answer your 100 allowed and they all get picked best that's 1,200 per day, then you're allowed 100 votes per day, how can you exceed that number?

As I posted to this person, you haven't earned top answer, I've tired of the hassle and decided to let you have it.

Personally, I don't come here for the points. They won't buy even a gallon of milk for a bowl of Cap'n Crunch.

I do enjoy the better questions though. You know, the ones that are designed to elicit a thoughtful response from people who also understand that the points are worthless.

So, to answer your question...
Not very far and as for the 1000 points in one day?
Pass the milk and the cereal... and then we'll talk.

I like the Capt. Crunch analogy.

To what end will competition go on this forum? Further more, what is the point in the first place? There are no prizes, no cash awards, no zip!

The only reward seems to be... ego. "Top Answer", "Top Contributor", again, what is the point?

For me, it is rather amusing to see some of the responses people get, and to a point, it tests my own intellect; aside from that it tends to help pass the few moments of "brain stretch" I need everyday or so.

Editorial: Arthur, best of luck and health in your endeavor; my family is going the same trial with my sister, and my mother. You just keep posting!

Camai all!

yep, wouldn't do any of that. and i don't know how folks amass so many points without being on here WAY too much. also i think that going to a website and looking up the answer and then copying and pasting this huge encylopedic tome of a response is like cheating. i just answer what i know and that's that.
