Nope, it doesn't.

Scots leave because we've got skills other places want. That's why people of Scots ancestry have, at one time or another, governed Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Another is revered in Japan as the founder of the Mitsubishi Motor Company.

I only left because the job I did took me around the world. It was shite and I only ever wanted to get home.

I'm back now, and whilst it ain't perfect it's better than the two places in England where I was obliged to live.
Portsmouth. Chock full of druggies and chavs. Plymouth. Nice enough town... spoiled by the constant presence of foreign navies doing OST.

Ronnie, you tw@t. Where are you from anyway? I'd contend that the only part of Scotland you've ever seen is when you accidentally landed on River City while you were channel hopping, or you went to see Trainspotting once.

And as a point of interest, Scotland's population is on the rise. There is positive migration for the first time in years and the birth rate is also up.

Could be that they have relatives who have emigrated to this country & they have been urged to come here. There are a number people from Scotland who have been here since before the Revolutionary War & many since that time for various reasons. I don't know what country you are asking about when you ask "Does this country have any problem?" To my knowledge neither Scotland nor America have any problem with the Scot's leaving or coming here. I don't know of any problem that England & Scotland are having at this time that would cause the Scotch to leave their homeland.

Scotland is a lovely place its no more violent than most places and the people there don`t live in poverty and they`re not ignorant NO one in Scotland .England or anywhere in the UK is expected to live in the abject poverty thats seen in many countries poverty here is not having the money to travel abroad for a holiday every year or afford a good car or buy your own house or have broadband instead of dial up internet We have nothing comparable to the levels of poverty that some people exist in ,even in America

It's cold and Rab C. Nesbit could easily be just around the corner vomiting and leaving you something to step in. True though if you live south of the border it might easily be Wayne Anonymous providing the same service but there don't seem to be quite as many of them. It's one area where the Scots are probably world beaters.

Why Scotland, we are not a separate country, we are part of the UK? This part of the country does have lots of immigrant taking over our jobs and housing and lots of racial hatred but not any worse than England or Wales.

pheonix of ronnie, your a very racist kinda peep,if you aint got anything of value to say "Don't"say anything, people leave scotland for many reasons mostly socio/work related, since the thatcher years the major manufacturing industries have all been closed, coal industy totally wiped out,due to successive westminster governments failing to ensure sucessful investment from abroad, ensuring that any such investments are secured for south of the border, thats the main reason and some because they're just fed up with the almost totalitarian state britain is rapidly becoming and prefer to live a more relaxed and free'er life abroad in their retirement. ithink we scots have given more then our fair share to the uk's economy what with the oil revenue that westminster stole from the people of scotland, maybe if we'd been allowed that we could have ensured foreign investment in our future ourselfs.westminter is the parasite, not scotland!!! and it's not a grey country OPEN YOUR EYE'S and look.

Why just pick on Scots? Your question ought to read ..

Why do people emigrate? Does their contry of origin have any problems?

This would be construed as being slightly less racist.

HAHAH i live in Scotland. Ya we have a huge problem with immigration and political correctness. Most of the wealthy people are moving abroad their is no future here for the indigenous Brits. You can now be sued for staring at a Muslim.
