I only eat breakfast on weekends because I'm not hungry at all at 6 in the morning. I haven't been eating lunch at school because it's disgusting and the lines are always too long. I also don't want to bring my own lunch because I probably won't eat it anyways.
I get back from school at like 4:00 and eat when I get home ( I eat a normal portion, no binging or anything.)
I'm not trying to lose or gain weight, but if I keep doing this what will happen?

10 points to whoever actually answers my question.

I eat a granola bar for breakfast sometimes if that helps, but I'm usually in too much of a hurry to eat.

You may be eating enough in your one meal a day to maintain your current weight. If you are not losing or gaining then that is probably the case. However, some research suggests that eating only once a day can lead to obesity.

I think this is more the case for people who are eating one meal a day and skipping breakfast because they are trying to lose weight. They are eating fewer calories and allowing themselves to be hungry much of the time.

If you continue to eat one meal a day, as long as you are getting the calories you need in that one meal to meet all your bodies needs, you should not have a problem. If you are shorting your body of calories and not eating as much as you are burning then it is a different matter and you could run into trouble in the long run. This could throw off your meatbolic rate because you are not getting enough calories and your body slows your metabolic rate to conserve calories for vital functions.

To determine whether you are eating enough to maintain your body's needs for calories you should check the link below. It allows you to calculate your needed calories per day. This link asks for your age, gender, weight, height and activity level. It will then give you an estimate of how many calories your body needs each day. If you are getting that many calories in one meal then you should be fine. If not you need to eat more in your one meal or find ways to add other meals.

Hope this answers your question!

Well if you're not eating breakfast or lunch-- your metabolism is actually slowing to a hault and preventing you from losing weight because your body goes into conservation mode (it thinks it's starving because it hasn't eaten for 12 hours or so). So even though you might not be hungry an apple or something in the morning would at least jump start your metabolism each day. Having something in your stomach will not only encourage your body to burn those calories, but it will keep burning calories throughout the day.

On the flip side if you're eating majority of your fuel in the evenings, your body doesn't have a long time to work it off before you go to sleep and again, your metabolism slows to a near stop. So all that potential energy just get stored as fat rather than burned off in your normal running around, common activies.

So eventually you will start to see the results of this negitive impact on your body. But it sounds like with a small shift in your eating schedule you could be benefiting yourself greatly and making great eating habits for life.

It can probably eventually affect your weight, but mostly because your current eating plan is kind of full of bad habits. You should always eat something before school, or AT LEAST take a protein bar or something to school at eat it between classes. Nutrients in the morning actually jump start your metabolism for the day and help give you energy. And commit to packing something for lunch -- a protein, a fruit and a veggie, some carbs. Eating during your active times is better than eating and then going to sleep or something like that, and it fuels you better for the afternoon. Several smaller meals and/or snacks during the day help spread out your calories over the day so that they're used more efficiently -- that leads to improved energy levels in the short-term and less weight-gain in the long run.

To determine if you'd be a size zero you would have to write the measurement of your hips and circumference of your thighs, as for not eating I've been there, and if you're every looking to gain weight you could try corseting. You just need to stop obsessing if something makes you truely miserable take it out on something else drink, write, draw find a different outlet. But if you really think you need to lose weight try the 2468 diet it'll boost your metabolism while still losing weight, and it only takes 4 days.

You could lose weight since you are consuming so few calories for hte day, or you could gain weight because your body is going into starvation mode.

You best bet is to eat a small breakfast (yogurt, toast, something). It will get your metabolism going.

I know you aren't hungry, but that's the best time to eat something small. Eating before you arent hungry keeps you from overeating when you are.

breakfast is the most important meal of the day, never skip it!! and eat well in the morning!!
especially when lunch you don't always eat..
and supper you shouldn't eat after 8 pm, it's just not healthy and you could get fat by just eating too late... you don't wanna get worried about being fat now do ye?? ;)

Becuase you are young (school?) you will be fine but as you get older, your metabolism will slow down more than it should becuase you arent eating for several hours when you need it the most.
