I don't know the answer, but your cousin is your parent's sibling's child not your GRANDPARENT'S sibling's child.

People who share a common grandparent are cousins. People who share a common great-grandparent are second cousins. Your second cousin's children are your own second cousins once removed; your second cousin's children and your own children are third cousins.
