You might have to find an attorney, or you can call Social Security if you have his SS number...they always know where someone is.

I don't know if you have a lawyer or not. If not, I suggest you get a family lawyer that deals with custody issues. Tell the lawyer you know where he is and you whole situation. We don't know your situation other than what you have written here, there is more to the story than what you have said so far.
I know my ex doesn't pay child support either, and I went back and forth into court for 6 months after we split, more than half the time he didn't show up or he didn't do the paperwork for it. The judge got fed up and granted me full custody and guardianship. My ex wanted joint-custody and guardianship and he has a criminal record, alcoholic and drug addict.
I was on welfare in the past and part of the application was to try and get child maintenance by filling out Income Assistance application for it, and they asked me if I knew his Social Insurance Number. I gave my worker that AND the Restraining order I had. They found him, but never pursued it because of his violent past and the restraining order. My ex is in arrears for child support since March 2004. But, seeing how he isn't allowed to come near us anyways, why make him pay? I am not going after him for child support when I have a restraining order against him.

im not sure...my state couldnt find my sons father but then i gave CS his probation officers name and number so they could call her and get his info. i have still not seen a dime. im owed about 8-9 thousand right now and it seems like nothing they are doing is making him pay. ive pretty much given up, this has been going on for over 3 years and im tired of it. the state obviously isnt doing everything they can...you cant make him pay, and it will be a long while before the state will actually do anything drastic. eventually they can put him in jail for not paying, but then you still wont be getting any support. but trust me i know exactly how you feel.

You can get the order issued whether they "find" him or not. Of course they will have to "find" him before they can make him pay, but then he will owe all teh back pay as well. All you will need to do is postit in the newspaper that serves his last known address since he can;t be "found". Or just file for public assistance, in most states once you do that the STATE fiels for support.

Make sure they have his current address. Find out where he works (without actually stalking him, though), and report that as well. It's a shame, but a fact of life.

Have them do a search for his Social Security number and find out where he is working and slap a garnishment on his wages.

Contact someone who can help you! Two of the best I've seen are supportkids.com and childsupportsolution.org.
