My bro and i are fighting wat to buy. Which is better A WII or a PS3? HELP!!!

The PS3 is for hardcore gamers. It will be around for a long time, and has many awesome games already out or coming out. The new Dualshock 3 controller is coming out, with motion sensing and rumble, and the PS3 has an online network and will soon be releasing "Home". The Wii has very little incredible games, most good ones are from the streamline of nintendo franchises like Mario or Zelda. The motion controls are a novelty now, but I doubt that the system will survive for a prolonged period.

Man buy the PS3 and enjoy. PS3 is better. IF u look at it, wii is a rip off for the price it's at. $300 for a system with graphics worse then PS2 ya PS2, very very weak in precessing power. and it's only fun for a little while. most of wii games are avalible on PS3 and wii only has few games because a lot of games made, the wii cant sopport them even with a port. Some games, are evry bad and the wosrt games play becasue the wii has motiens sensers and they put to much of it make ing some games not fun. PS3 is the perfect blend of games power, use for now and in future use, graphics(the best right now), games, fun, and is the best console. $300 for a wii that wont even play a DVD or CD is a rip off. for a $100 more u can get the 40gb PS3 and will have better features and a blu-ray player. PS3 can be updated so ur console is always up to date for free. U will love the PS3, i got it and wont regret it. u wont to. dont buy xbox 360 though - to many problems and just isnt as fun as Ps3 or wii. PS3 can put u in the and will just keep going for more. IF i was u i would go for the 80gb though

The PS3 has way more and better games than the Wii. All these games are on the PS3 but not the Wii: Resistance, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Ratchet and Clank, Virtua Fighter 5, Heavenly Sword, Stranglehold, Assassin's Creed, Virtua Tennis 3, Folklore, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Singstar and Call of Duty 4.
Uncharted, Killzone 2, Haze, MGS4, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Afrika, Little Big Planet, Tekken 6 and God of War 3 will be coming out as PS3 exclusives. Also the maker of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is making his next game exclusively on PS3. The makers of Fahrenheit are also making their next game a PS3 exclusive.
As well as this there are ones that are multi-platform like Devil May Cry 4, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Lost Planet, Resident Evil 5, The Orange Box, Soul Calibur 4 and Rock Band. Also a new Jak and Daxter and Bioshock are rumoured to be coming out on the PS3.
The PS3 is a blu-ray and DVD player and the Wii doesn't do anything like this. The PS3 has a lot more online games, it has a hard drive for storing things on and it will last you a lot longer.

well it really depends on what you and your brothers prefer when it comes to games....
im guessing both of you are guys and are over the age of 12 but under the age of 30 so you're probaby more into sports shooters action adventure and more mature titles... if so get a ps3.... i have a wii and a 360 they're both great but i still like my ps3 better....
the wii is not capable of playing games in full HD and it also has a weaker graphics engine meaning their games dont look as good as the ps3 but still are fun...
the advantage of having a wii is EVERYONE will want to play your whole family friends and even your girlfriend..... its great..... but it can get a little boring if you play it for too long....
so if you've never owned a gaming console and want to test out the waters get a wii.... but if you've been playing games before i doubt you'll be satisfied with just the wii.... if you can buy both then that would be perfect.....

Matters on what games you like. If you like Nintendo games and are more of a casual gamer/game with friends/family a lot then the Wii is for you.
If you are more of a hardcore gamer that appreciates good graphics go for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

I'll give you a simple answer. Get the PS3. You won't enjoy the Wii as much as the PS3 after some time.

PS3 hands down. It's much stronger console for real gamers. Also it's a blu-ray movie player, good multimedia center, if you install Linux - that'll be a very good personal computer (requires Linux, mouse and keyboard).
Wii, on the other hand, is all-family-fun gaming console, it has exclusives like Mario and Zelda, it has a funny joystick.

They are both very very different and very fun. If you have a choice to get one as a gift right now then get the ps3 cause it is available. Wii is out of stock everywhere and is priced low enough that you can save up and get it later.

whoever said the Wii has the best graphic's ever is crazy, the ps3 will last you in the long run after the motion-sensing fad wears off and the Wii's begin to collect dust. The ps3's life cycle is projected to be 10 years.
