I have been working part time while looking for a job as a beauty therapist. Now I have been offered one, i need to hand my notice in. my boss has been lovely. what should i put in my notice?

That's all you need to do. You do not need to offer a reason. If asked, just say you are pursueing other opportunities.

You don't have to say anything more than you're resigning as of a certain date. However, if you genuinely like the place, it's a good idea to thank them for the opportunity to work there and for the experience that you've had. Tell your boss that it was great working for him/her. You may want to use this person as a reference some day, so leaving a good impression is a plus.
