which wil shot better? i plan on topping either with a bushnell 3200 elite 10x scope im wondering on which will shot better with both stock and with the stevens a new barrel and a new stock compared to the stock remington

It has been my experience that the scope plays more of a roll than the gun itself. Invest in a good quality scope and shoot the same brand bullets and same grain bullet each time. I like Remington.

My Savage 10FP in .223 has outshot my .300WBY Remington 700, no contest. As for the Savage/Stevens, Shilen does make drop-in barrels for these rifles, and one of those would really increase accuracy. Several features of the Savage, such as floating bolt face, make it a more accurate rifle out of the box. Another nice thing about the Savage 10FP is the inclusion of an extra sling swivel on the stock, for mounting a bipod and still having a solid place to mount a sling.

I have a Savage with the accu trigger.... I really like the rifle alot... the action is solid and smooth as well.... go with thr savage......

Savage.... you will enjoy the accu-trigger, and with my savage, it shoot tighter groups than my remington

They all will providing the shooter does his part.* Its a matter of personal preference.*
