First of all, I read your question from last night and you said this was just a health project... I hope that's still the case and you're not actually considering this.

Second, starving yourself/going bulimic for a couple days won't do much of anything... if your body notices that it's getting a lot less food, it's going to try to hold on to everything that it has so you're not going to lose much weight. And if you start going bulimic, there's a big risk that you're going to continue it past the couple of days that you're currently planning and that will lead to huge problems. If you really want to lose a little weight I suggest eating celery with your meals... celery is the only food with negative calories because there's a lot of chewing involved and the food itself is mostly water... you should also eat sensibly and get a little exercise. I lost some weight in the summer because I was doing a lot of standing and walking and things, I skipped lunch just because I was busy and for dinner I just had a 6-inch sub from Subway. It's going to take longer than a few days to lose 10 pounds but it's a lot healthier and you'll feel better.

NO. Do NOT do this. It's very unhealthy and you cannot do it for a "few days". Most likely, you'll continue, SO DON'T! If you're already skinny, just do some crunches, push-ups, and squats to tone yourself up. It won't happen immediatley though. You'll need to continue with it. I know that's not the answer you WANT, but look, it's the easiest and healthy way to do it. Going bulimic is very unhealthy and can cause problems (your teeth can rot, your esophagus can get torn up...), you don't want all that. Doing those exercises will tone your body up instead of you losing weight. Losing the weight will just add more fat to your body (unfortunately). So, just exercise and tone your body up. You also might want to try drinking more water and eating healthier foods, it'll help even more. Good luck.

Your statement, "I'm actually skinny, but I just gotta get the "fatty" off of me," tells me you are teetering on the edge of having a full-blown eating disorder that won't last for "a few days" or "7-10 pounds". Bulimia or it's cousin, anorexia, is nothing to mess with, not even for a few days, especially not with your present mind set of wanting to lose "fat" when you already admit you are "skinny".

I see your "please help" as deeper than you may realize. I see you as a gal who has low-self esteem problems. You don't like the way you feel about yourself, so you think taking some weight off is going to help. It won't. Trust me, it won't. And when that doesn't make you feel better about yourself, you'll want to lose more weight, or do something else to yourself equally harmful. You asked what you should do, so I'm going to be totally honest with you: see a counselor. If you are still in school, see your school nurse. If you aren't, grab a phone book and check the yellow pages for places that offer counseling and make an appointment. It's not weight that you need to lose.....it's your bad self-image. Drop it....you are fine the way you are.

You need to exercise. You need to eat no more than 3 meals a day. No late night snacks. If you eat anything before going to bed, while your body is resting, it is also creating fatty tissues.
Go running for at least 30 minutes every day.
Or at least 40 minutes every other day.
Drink lots of water. When you get thirsty, do not drink soda or
any other sweet drinks. Drinking vitamin water in place of soda or juice, is a good way to go. You can eat regular foods.
Just eat a little less than you usually do.
That's what I call a low portion diet. Trust me! it really works!
If you exercise for an hour a day, or even a half hour, that will help you achieve your goal. If you are really serious about cutting off the fat, Then you will heed my words.
Don't waste time saying what you need to do. Saying it, is not going to make it happen. Doing something about it will bring
the results you are aiming for.
"Knowing is not enough, we must Apply"
(apply the knowledge you have gained)
"Willing is not enough, we must do"
(Be willing to do what it takes to make it happen)

well i'm happy to answer your question, first of all. second, i would NOT go bulimic! it can not be healthy. if u only want to loose 7-10 pounds, it seems like all u need to do is eat a little less calories and exercise a little more. in no time you'll be there.

You won't lose any weight by doing it. Most of the nutrients from the food will be absorbed before you can vomit it up. That's a terrible idea. Even a ridiculous juice fast would be better than going bulimic.

Wow. What in the Hell is this world coming to when people opt for an eating disorder for a few days. You know, if you had to live the life of a real bulimic then you would hate it. You have no idea how much it hurts to hate yourself every single moment of every single day and then to top it all off throw everything up and deal with all of that physical pain, too. That's like saying you want to stay up really late so you want to try be manic for a few days.

This has seriously pissed me off. Thanks.

You can't just go bulimic for a few days. You either are or you're not. You know yourself you are not fat so why do it? Do NOT make yourself sick as its very dangerous, trust me i know.I was very sick for different reasons and was so close to a heart attack,i didnt realise.Eat healthily and exercise above all.It will make you feel good about yourself!

You must know that "going bulimic" is not a healthy choice.you admit that you are only slightly over weight, hardly worth risking your health over.See your doctor who can advise you if you need to lose weight and if so how to go about it sensibly. The pounds did not go on overnight so it is not reasonable to expect it to come off ovenight. Take care.
