In asking to go to a movie the difference between. "Would you like to go to a movie." or "lets go see a movie.", or "Are you free to see a movie.". Does phraseing it differently get different asnswers?

yes. delivery is key. normally when you ask, (in regard to the first phrase) you're giving her an out to say no, in which to my experience, doing nothing is always easier than doing something (from either perspective).

lets go see a movie means you're assertive, and if she doesnt want to she will make it very clear with an im sorry, i cant, or no, or whatever. she has to make a decision.

the third is a variation of the first. frankly you need to make assertive phrases, especially when meeting someone new. its hard to take someone seriously (that you want to go out with) when you use the phrase, "are you free".....

well the 1 and 3 would work on basicaly anyone but the 2 you have to be close to that person or they might get mad
