College was important in the past. Sometimes you loose all of your "common sense" because you believe that some one owes you because you have to pay back all those loans, etc. If you can be educated and have some "common sense" and respect for people you have accomplished a lot! Don't go around bragging about what college you went or go to. Just learn to be intelligent and maintain that "COMMON SENSE"!

Maybe someday I'll finish. If you want a better paying job or to actually try and improve conditions for your fellow man, college is ideal. If this is your reason for going, then I'd say it is important. If it's only for getting a degree and holding it up as a status symbol (and many, many, people do just that), then in my opinion you were a waste of tax-payers dollars.

Because the world revolves around paper.
You have to have a piece of paper to prove you exist. one to prove you can work and one that proves you know what you are doing (if you want to be paid well). Hell you even have to have a piece of paper that proves you are dead.

College has gone corporate. It is not what it used to be, therefore, it is not important to me.

Save your money, open your own business, and reduce capitalism in America.
