In my opinion, guinea pigs are the best. They aren't as small as hamsters and gerbils, yet they are big enough to cuddle. Hamsters and gerbils tend to bite your fingers, but guinea pigs only bite if they are REALLY mad. Hamsters are nocturnal and can keep you up all night, and guinea pigs and diurnal and are generally quiet throughout the day. And they are SO cute and friendly!

Well, depends on what you are looking for.
Guinea pig- loving, needs and loves attention from you. These are great to pet and snuggle with on the couch. They are quite noisy when they want to be however and they do tend to smell a bit. Not horribly, but they do.
Hamster- they do bite and you need to work with them in order for this to stop. Hamsters do not enjoy companion hamsters so should be housed alone (unless dwarf). Hamsters could really care less if you pick them up or pay attention to them, but if you do, they're fine with it. These are more fun to watch play in tubes and have fun in nifty cages.
Gerbil- Incredibly sweet but nippy at the beginning. They sleep quite a bit until night when they bound up and go nuts. They are great fun to watch chew up cardboard... but they will also chew any plastic they can get their teeth on so a fun elaborate cage is a no-no. Tubes can easily become escape pods. They like attention from you and will take to standing up when you come around to come out of their cage and head into their balls or some supervised time out on your couch or in a pen.
So really, it's whatever you are looking for in a pet. I love my gerbils and am in love with my rats. Guinea pigs would be my next buy simply because I love animals that show love back.

Guinea Pigs are the only one that you can talk to and they will talk back. They have their own laguage that we can hear. It is very cute and helps you understand them unlike hamsters and gerbils.
They also have less of a tendency to bite. Guinea Pigs are very shy and social animals to have around and dont bite as much as rodets do. Rabbits and Guinea Pigs are laggamorphs and not rodents and tend to be nicer!
They are cute! Cute and easy to hold. They are bigger than hamsters and gerbils and that makes them easier to hold and cuddle with.
Cavys are the only one who will sleep with you on your lap. They are very cuddley and my friend's even snores!
Hope I Helped!

hmmm this is tough. I would have to say Guinea Pigs, because they will sit on your lap and they don't bite. Hamsters bite occasionally, really fun to play with though. Gerbils are fun to play with and watch but they hate being picked up.

Out of those three? Guinea pig. I've never had any but my friend has gerbils and they are really loud and boring.
My favorite rodent is a rat. They are sweet, smart and really cute!

GERBIL GERBIL GERBIL- they DON'T bite no matter what anyone says!!! As long as you play with them and give them another gerbil to live with there fine. they stink WAY LESS than hamsters and ginea pigs are always squeaking ect. Gerbils are THE BEST but ps: dont hold em from the tail.
ok if you want a gerbil you need a big cage, like a rabit cage or something, get LOTS of soft bedding, that gray fluffy type or something, then give them a whole bunch of wood tunnels and ect... and give them lots of cardboard to chew on, if you never giv em something to chew on (it has to be wood) then they'll die. but dont worry its not like they need wood every day or something... anyway you need to give them LOTS of bedding so they'll burrow. give them a whole buncha wood stuff and maybe some kinda metal or somethin like that for them to hide in. empty toilet paper roles and stuff work awsome for givin em wood and tunnels! trust me, girbils ARE THE BEST PS: no plastic, theyel chew and choke... and PSPS: to tell girl from boy boys have two black bads on dere butt and girls don't , dont but different genders together, they'l mate!
