my son has been using pine tar soap for a lil over a month now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks.

Hi!
I actually found a facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:
http://beautymoi.blogspot (.com) => remove the parentheses
I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.
Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can "clean" your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.
I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

Also you may want to Google Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu.
Take care and good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

I also have acne on my face and back and I've also tried using proactiv. (which did not work) After trying so many products I decided to contact my doctor who gave me a gel like medication that goes on like cream. I only use it when I go to bed and wash it off in the morning. And it works.
Right now I've stopped using it because my acne isnt as worse as it was before. So now I just just dove soap to wash my face in the morning/night.
I don't think you should use the face pads. I used to use them and they made my skin feel rough and it didn't work.

Hi there!
the 1st thing that you can try is an over-the-counter cream of gel formulated with benzoyl peroxide. It works by mildly irritating the skin, which encourages dying skin cells to flake off. This helps reopen clogged pores. In addition, benzoyl peroxide also kills the bacteria that infect clogged pores.
Besides that, you may also try tea-tree oil on blemishes to discourage infection and speed healing. You should dab a drop of tea-tree oil on your acne three times a day, for effective healing.
For other natural remedies for acne treatment, you can read abt them here: http://acne.best-health-remedy.com/

Cold water when washing your face is key! And biore actually works great with the face cloths and pore cleaners. But if all else fails, try going to a dermatologist. Also, you need to exfoliate your back.

I would suggest changing your diet. In recent years, acne has been linked to food allergies. Wheat and dairy are the two biggest culprits. My sister has the same problems you mention, but saw a dramatic decrease when she cut waayy back on dairy and also sugar, and started drinking more water. Not only did the actual pimples decrease, but her facial skin lost much of the redness she hated! It might mean some lifestyle changes...but it depends how desperate you are :)

I used to have problems also until my very old and wise Grandmother told me "never touch your face with your hands"Once I was made aware that I did have the habit of resting my chin in my hand and rubbing my nose and eyes, I finally stopped. And wonder of wonders my skin started looking better and better. As far as your back. Be sure and wash it after your hair as to not leave any conditioner and stuff on it. Also I never wash with anything but white Dove soap, its ph balanced.
