Stupid question but do you need to put your turn signal on when yeilding and I can you wear flip flops (I know its winter but I learned how to drive in the summer and now its hard for me to drive in my tennis shoe). Any tips? Thanks

Shoes: Hey.. in California you can take the test barefooted. Has absolutely no bearing on how you perform

Turnsignal... I assume you mean when you are MAKING a turn and you yield to oncoming traffic (if not you need to clean up the question a bit).. You need to signal for ALL turns.. until you complete the turn unless you are using hand signals in which case you can retract that hand to deal with the steering wheel (or answer the phone, or catch the burger that is falling, or pick your nose, or run over feet - oops.. sorry, I assumed you are Britney Spears)

Anytime you are going to move into a lane, it's a good idea to use your signal to indicate what you are going to do. There is no law against driving barefoot if you want to (even though everyone thinks it's not legal).
