Was converted by Roman Catholics as worshiping day during the 4th Century. The Saturday sabbath was set aside , the day which God had blessed and sanctified. Sunday was a day observed by heathens which meant "venerable day of the sun". In the first centuries th true sabbath was kept from Christians and now because of it sabbath is observed on a sunday, as seen as a festivel in honor of recreation to Jesus. I might add that the day of the sun was reverenced by pagan subjects and was honored by christians in their ignorance, It was Emporer Constatine's policy to unite the conflicting interests of heathenism and christianity as a day they could both worship. And this was urged by the bishops of the roman Church. And that is why I do not attend church on sunday.

The Sabbath was not made only for the Jews but it was made for man to rest and worship their Creator God.This was carefully observed by the Hebrews throughout the Old Testament time. In obedience to God ,Jesus and His disciples also carefully kept the Sabbath. However, after the fall of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and the crushing of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in A.D.135, the Jews were scattered and their name and religion were strongly opposed. Then a significance was placed on Sun worship and this was strongly supported, so by A.D. 321 Constantine, a Christian Roman Emperor passed the first Sunday Law; therefore there was a shift from the true Bible Sabbath to Sunday worship. This did not prevent the early Christians from faithfully upholding the claims of God's law to observe the true Sabbath. When the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday it included a worship service honoring the resurrection of Christ but continued to be a day of work. This trend eventually led to the change of the Bible Sabbath to Sunday. In the book of Daniel which is in the Old Testament, chapter 7 (read it all), but just now look at verses 24 & 25 it is stated that the kingdom risen up would think to change times and laws and that has been clearly admitted by the Papacy*, the changing of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Therefore the fourth commandment was tampered with. The law which is the Ten Commandment found in the book of Exodus 20: 1 to 17 was written by God with His fingers on two tables of stone and this was given us by God as our guide to be honored. God rested on the Sabbath. He blessed it and He sanctified it .God instituted the Sabbath at the creation of man, setting apart the seventh day for the purpose of resting from all our labors, spending time worshiping Him and this will also be kept in the earth made new; worshiping with Christ and all the heavenly hosts forever and ever.

The Sabbath was given to Israel, not the church. The Sabbath is still Saturday, not Sunday, and has never been changed. But the Sabbath is part of the Old Testament Law, and Christians are free from the bondage of the Law (Galatians 4:1-26; Romans 6:14). Sabbath keeping is not required of the Christian—be it Saturday or Sunday. The first day of the week, Sunday, the Lord's Day (Revelation 1:10) celebrates the New Creation, with Christ as our resurrected Head. We are not obligated to follow the Mosaic Sabbath—resting, but are now free to follow the risen Christ—serving. The Apostle Paul said that each individual Christian should decide whether to observe a Sabbath rest, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind” (Romans 14:5). We are to worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday.

Yea the Sabbath is on Saturday. They let the pastor and priest lie to them about the truth about the Sabbath. The Sabbath has never change! Christian were persecuted for their belief in the Sabbath back in the early times....
Christian say the Jews that are suppose to follow the Sabbath and we are under the New Convent so we worship the first day BUT God bless the 7th day before any human was on Earth (Genesis 2:3).
Christian say they gather on the 1st day BUT people misinterpret the verse and write it down wrong too on here. Its UPON THE FIRST DAY Meaning before Sunday. Then did God say he was going to switch the day b/c hes the only who can reverse what HE said, not Paul! (Numbers 23:20.)
What would Jesus do?
In John 15:10 Jesus said "I have kept my father's commandments" and we can also find from scripture that Jesus attended church on the Sabbath day. "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read." Luke 4:16
He would worship on the Sabbath!
Does it matter how we worship God?
Yes. In John chapter 4 the woman at the well asked Jesus the same question. Jesus responded: "the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24.
But isn't it very dangerous to tamper with God's law?
Changing Sabbath to Sunday is an insult to God because it attempts to alter His divine law.
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 4:2. "Every word of God is pure. ... Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5, 6.
God has specifically and positively forbidden men to change His law by deletions or additions. To tamper with God's holy law in any way is one of the most fearful and dangerous things a person can do.

Saturday is the Sabbath. Most all Christians do not hold the Sabbath. But they worship on Sunday, the day Jesus rose from the dead. That has always been the practice since the beginning of the church. Many early Christians would go to the Synagogues on the Sabbath in order to preach to the Jews (see the book of Acts), but did their own worship on Sunday. Nothing has changed.

Saturday was the Sabbath per God in Old Testament times, it is the 7th day, the day of rest.
Sunday is considered the day of the Lord (Jesus), as he rose from the dead on a Sunday after being crucified, making this a great day to remember, the most important day! The day Jesus defeats the curse of death.

The original day of Sabbath was the seventh day of the week which is Saturday. The Jewish community still observes this day as the Sabbath. Christians began observing Sabbath on Sunday soon after Christianity began in recognition of the day of the week that Christ rose from the grave early on Sunday morning.

The Emperor Constantine mistakenly thought that Chrisitanity worshipped the sun (which was what he worshipped.) He worshipped Invictus Sol (the invincible sun.) Since he made Christianity the official religion of Rome, the Bishops decided not to clue him in, and just keep their mouths shut. Hence, Sunday being the Sabbath.

Daily in Christ is our rest, true peace of mind.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
