Ok think of this and tell me if you think its possible.

Youre in England, you walk to London, then you walk thru the channel tunnel and into France (i know its not "allowed" but its doable). Then once in france you walk accross Europe and into Russia, from there you walk up into North-East Russia. Do this in the winter and the ice will have frozen over enough to walk over into Alaska. From alaska you walk thru Canada, into the USA again and then walk to New York.

Possible?

But.... You just walked from England to New York. That's the opposite of what you wanted to do.

People have done it.

There'll be some hurdles. Namely the Bering Strait, 56 miles of ice between Alaska and Russia. It's frozen sea, but it's not fully frozen which means it's always moving, always cracking. It's very dangerous.

Bering straight doesn't really freeze into a walkable surface. its more a pile of ice floats and open water.
