Governor Rendell of Pennsylvania wants to raise the gasoline tax 1 cent, thats "ONE PENNY" and everybody is complaining!, thats only $9 dollars a year for the average consumer, we can afford that!

Depends on what that penny will pay for. If they use the extra tax money to fill in the potholes on my street, then sign me up!

Governor Rendell never met a tax he didn't like.

On this one though, it might not be a bad idea - not really a lot of money even for people who drive a lot, and heaven knows the PA roads could use improvement. If, of course, that's what the proposed tax gets used for. His timing could be better though, than to propose a hike on gasoline when prices are at record highs and still going up.

It is trivial, particularly if the money goes to roads. As I recall, yours are terrible and will need more than an additional penny per gallon to fix.

Is good if it goes to maintaining and upgrading the current infrastructure.

Any time you raise taxes it's BAD. No matter what it is.
