I think you might be meaning "spay" and it means to DE-sex, or neuter the dog.

This means that the dog will not be able to reproduce, as the testicles or female anatomy have been removed during the surgical process.

It depends what context it is used, and I can only think of a few situations including a dog.

"Spray" could be referring to when you spray "Bitter Apple" on something, which is a scent most dogs dont like, it discourages them from biting whatever u spray it on.

That's the best answer I can think of right now on what Spray means when talking about dogs. Maybe also if a dog is biting you you could "spray" it with a water bottle or something. Lol

Hope that helps!!

If you mean spay it's what everyone else said. If you indeed mean "spray," it could mean this. I used to "spritz/spray" water on at my dog when was doing something wrong. It deterred her from doing the wrong thing, but she didn't take it in a demeaning way like a dog would if you hit with a newspaper. I used a spritzer like hairdressers do to dampen hair.

Some people with "spray" their dogs with water as a means of correction.
Unless of course you really mean "spay" which is to have your dog medically rendered incapable of breeding/having puppies.

Do you mean spay, not spray? If so, that's the removal of the ovaries and uterus of a female dog to prevent pregnancy.

A spay is like a hysterectomy in a woman, the ovaries and uterus are removed to prevent pregnancy. It is also good for the dog to be spayed or neutered (males) for their health, dogs that are spayed or neutered live longer and healthier lives, and less dogs to send to the dog pound to be put down.

i think you mean SPAY...
its a surgery that makes a female unable to have puppies.

it means shes at less risk of DYING from problem pregnancy and delivery or uterine cancers...

in males its called a Neuter.

if you actually mean SPRAY, its more of a term used in cats in dogs its called marking and its when a male pees on things to mark their territory...

What's up with your questions? Are you just having fun? I really hope you don't have a dog.

I think you mean SPAY! If you are not sure how long a dog is pregnant for and how old they need to be to get pregnant you have no business breeding. Seriously, this site is for dog lovers.....
