Global Warming is the global problem. Our school dietary plan needs major overhauling at the federal level, just like the curriculum needs the same treatment. Only after restricting the amount of starches and sugars in school food will we see a reduction in the amount of juvenile diabetes cases, overall obesity, and lack of motivation in the schools. It should be an absolute requirement to have a fitness program for all students, with certain fitness exceptions for the handicapped. No ifs, ands or buts, the fattening of America needs to end.

Absolutely. Smoking is a choice and one that cannot be legally made until one is 18. Obesity is often ingrained into people from childhood, by parents who always encourage children to make certain they finish everything on their plates and who instill poor eating habits. By the time children reach adulthood, the choice has frequently been made for them whether they will remain obese their whole lives.

Why not. I strongly recommends it. It is a global problem.
Few days ago, the BBC news showed the program made in some countries in the middle east about replacing drinks like (pepsi, 7-up, ...etc) with natural drinks like fruit juices and milk in schools and it made a great response, since these drinks (pepsi, coca cola, ... etc.) have high concentrations of industrial sweeteners which are considered as a causative agent for obesity and mostly in children.

They both go hand in hand and maybe it should not be focused on schools but on parents.

This evening I went to the grocery store. Between the 2 that are each minutes away the low rent one is closer. The better one's people park their cars and walk to the door family and all. We are talking 20 yards.

The lower rent one (national chain) constantly has people who park in the pickup lane and turn on the flashers while someone runs in. Those who do so are usually african americans. It is not a racism thing, it is a cultural thing. I have lived all over the world and understand the difference.

Point is whatever race, creed, color or whatnot it is the parents responsibility to instill things.... not just the schools.

no fighting and smoking is a bigger problem why?
It is simple to get rid of obesity just a few days changing lunch food and sports that can help you lose weight in gym and good things to do in reassess like lots of footballs or soccer balls so they don't just walk around and talk.
simple
it is hard to get rid of fighting because it is controlled by emotions and emotions can turn into physical actions. Humans will all ways have emotions we aren't robots.
smoking is also hard
people have something in there brain which makes you addicted to something and it takes pricey medicine to stop it and a long time for it to take effect.

Absolutely, if not more.

Focusing on NOT doing something is only as beneficial as the absence of its direct contributions to illness.

Exercise and health, however, have countless positive benefits. Heart disease, mental health, emotional dysfunction, diabetes, bla bla bla. It goes on and on. We don't even know half of what exercise does for us, chemically and physically and socially. We're animals, and most animals have to be active to survive. We've outsmarted our bodies and can now do everything we need to do while sitting on our asses. It's a bad thing.

No.
While obesity is a big problem, it only hurts that one person- smoking hurts not only the smoker but also the people around them. We should focus on the more harmful issue first, once that's solved we can deal with the personal health of an individual.

More so, these kids eat junk only and lots of it.
They don't even realize it is worse than the Taboo Smoking.
