How long will Thanksgiving Turkey last in the fridge?

I love the dark meat and my wife is trying to tell me after 4 days to toss it out, I told her she was crazy and still enjoy it and plan on eating some more tonight :o)

I hate to be the burden of bad news, but your wife is right. After four days you risk the chance of getting sick if you eat it.

I always learned 5 days. But I'd definitely get any leftovers in the freezer before you go to bed. My mom is one of those that thawed her meat in the kitchen sink all day in sunny southern California. And none of us ever got sick.
