The difference is that a fact has to be backed with some sort of evidence, whereas truth can be more of an opinion. For example, a fact would be that I have taste buds (though as someone before me said, this is also truth), whereas an example of truth, but not necessarily fact would be the statement I make, "I like chocolate better than vanilla".

A fact is a verifiable bit of data. Truth may not be verifiable, may be a concept, and idea, etc. and there may be no proof of it.
Are you hinting that Christianity is "truth?" Because the bible is full of contradictions, misinterpretations and outright lies.
None of us can know the ultimate truth until we die, and anyone who says differently doesn't know the difference between truth and conjecture. The only logical possibility is that we do not know what happens when we die until we die. We can make educated guesses, but both the theist and the atheist who claim to be certain of what happens are only expressing opinions.
I have opinions of what happens based on various information from people who have died and come back, and from experience with spirits, so I can make an educated guess, but that may still vary from the 'truth'.

A fact is something that is solid evidence and cannot be denied. The truth is something that someone perceives to be a fact, but is not.
The earth circles the sun.
Truth, the sun comes up over the mountain.
While it is true that the sun appears to be coming up over the mountain, the fact of the matter is that the sun does not move. We do.
It's semantics.
I can tell you all sorts of things that I believe to be the truth, but often times, the things that people think are true and not facts. Meaning they can be proven wrong.
Get it?

A fact is something that can be proven. The truth is kind of n opinion but not really it is more like telling someone the truth about something. Do you see the difference?

The defination of Fact is something that actually exists. The defination of Truth is conformity to fact or actuality. So in reality truth and facts are the same.

That is partially correct, but you are on the right track. PPL will give things they say as facts, but they are only mere summations of wondering, even within science. God tells us that if science/knowledge goes against His word, it is false science. Yet we here things as evolution taught as fact, and many many other things. May be a fact to them, but its still a lie.
A true fact is just that, is is truth, and factual about the situation.
There is a huge difference between saying something is a fact, when it is not truth at all, ANd knowing real truth, not as we discern it ourselves, but by the full word of GOD>
God bless you for asking. Please let me add on here... In reality fact and truth are the same exact thing, because something cant be truth if it is not fact. There can be assumed truths that arent fact, as they are wrong. But a fact is something that is true. But, with God, we dont have to prove His existence, tho it is there. PPL wont often hear truth. But, knowing God, He will prove to you who HE is and who you are in Christ Jesus. He doesnt have to prove a thing, nor do we that believe in Him. Faith is in things unseen, but yet things you know, because once you accept Jesus, God will give you truths to show you. Now that is true and its also fact. HALLELUJAH>

Fact is you can not stay on topic, the truth of the matter is you are probably a troll
The difference there is I am not certain you are a troll , else it would be a fact, the truth allows for a broader interpretation

The Fool doth think he is wise, but the Wise man knows himself to be a fool. - William Shakespeare
My opinion is that a person's perception of things is actually their truth, whether that is fact or fiction. For example, someone could be insane and not realize it, even though everyone else around them sees it clearly!

Really! I don't think so people. Let us examine Pascal's Wager. Is that bluring God into fact? No, it accepts the possiblity that we could be wrong, and he does not exist. So, I tell you, get out of the middle ages, and realize the Religion is a fact of life. Learn to live with it.
