More people would be more prone to use their own mind, speak their own mind, make their own decisions, and be more in control of their lives.
People who are governed by religion are not truly free to make their own decisions. Religion limits people to make their own decisions in life and clouds their judgement.
Some people say the world would go into chaos without religion and I say if the governments of each nation and country have clear legislation against war and violence this should not happen. I mean most of the wars in the world are because of religion so I can't see how people could be blaming Atheism for the violence. If anything we are some of the most peaceful beings on the planet.
There are religious groups that will kill nations and certain social groups because their way of life goes against their religion. Why is this fair? Just because your religion says a particular group of peoples way of life in an immoral sin why should the non religious people have to suffer. Are we not allowed to live our lives the way we want to, just because certain religious groups are against it.
So in answer to your question the world would be so much better without religion, because religion in corrupt in every sense of the word imaginable.
And any religious communist who disagrees with me, I respect your opinion but you are letting your religion cloud your judgement and you are acting very illogical.

I don't think that a world could exist without religion. Humans have a natural need for explanations. We fear what we cannot explain. Therefore, it is inherent to human nature that we attempt to explain and find out what we cannot explain. Religions offer different explanations for the universe we live in. Science also offers explanations for why things happen. If you think of it like this, science and religion are both systems of beliefs that provide answers for our questions, whether those answers are supported physically or emotionally. If we didn't search for answers, we would not advance.
Religion both holds people back and pushes them forward. For example, the Catholic Church was the great smiter of scientific advancement for a great period of time. It threatened people who thought differently and suppressed them. But on the other side, many religions believe in altruistic acts and many people in those religions try to help others in need. For example, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was established by Catholics. The times are constantly changing.
Beliefs have the ability to unite and divide groups of people. So much suffering in this world is due to the inability of religions to get along. Some are more tolerant and others are belligerent and believe that they need to force their views upon others or punish those who do not follow their religion. There will always be these types of violently differing religions, and for this reason, different religions will never be able to exist in harmony as long as there are those who believe in certain religions so intensely.

The LORD God created the world and all that is in it, so the people of this world should wish to worship their maker.
He made all things perfect for mankind and what happened - Adam and Eve were not satisfied and wanted more. That has been the pattern of things since.
Sadly, men and women have used religion as an excuse to get their own way. They have created fear instead of love and understanding; warfare instead of peace.
But in the Bible we are shown a better way that God and his son Jesus wish us to follow.
We are to love God and our neighbour as ourselves. By neighbour we mean all those we come in contact with. If everyone did this what a wonderful world it would be.
In the Bible we a told the parable of the good Samaritan: A man was robbed, stripped and beaten on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho and left half-dead.
Both first a priest and then a Levite saw him and passed by on the other side. Only a Samaritan, who was despised, had compassion on the man, took him to an inn and arranged care for him.
Those who should have had the most understanding and compassion really did not care for anyone but themselves.
We can all be selfish like that. It is easy to blame others but would we help another in distress?
Let's try and make the answer 'yes'.

Religion is the special perogative of human beings. Animals do not have the propensity to pursue religion.A world without religion would be merely a polished animal civilisation. Also when we speak about religion we need to understand that we are talking about love of God regardless of temporal designations like muslim, christian, judaism etc.The world today with all it's problems is a manifestation of sinful life, everywhere we see crime, war, the degradation of women etc.,
these are not caused by religion on the contrary it is the lack of religion that causes these problems. The wars in Israel/palestine, northern Ireland, etc. are not caused by religion. these wars are being fought over land it is incidental that one side is catholic and the other side prodestant or one side is muslim and other side jewish. It is not about religion it is about land. If we were alittle more religous and actually obeyed the rules of God we could not engage in killing.Thou shall not kill!Life without rligion is animal platform.

In some ways, it's better with no religion due to the violence it can bring however it can b a good thing, it can b used to unite ppl of the world, of different faiths together. Only then can the small minority of haters in a religion b rooted out.

There would have been no basis for a moral code or set of ethics, there would be anarchy, which would be fatal to mankind, essentially there would be no basis for unity. Religions cause divisions yes, and can never live in harmony, yet if there was one worldwide religion there would more peace

Religions are not the real problem, it's the human need to have power over others. Religion is simply one of the tools man has used throughout time to gain this power and control over others.
Mans thirst for power and control over his fellow human beings and everything around him is at the root of all cruelty, abuse and violence.

Humans are naturally divisive and will always form one group or other. Religion is just the excuse we use in the majority of cases so without it I think we would just find other excuses to kill each other.
