My pc is connected to my modem and i do not have router

yes you can, here's what you need to do.
1. Get the lastest version of windows media center
2. Open it up-go to the library tab-and enable media sharing.
3. go to ur ps3 then click search for media servers, then BOOM your computer will show up!!!!!!!
