most of the time the speedometer will do it because it only turns as fast as the axle will turn,so it should re-calibrate its self, the older ones wouldn't,but the newer ones go by the speed of the axle,so it may read right,if it doesn't the dealer can do this for you, good luck.

You will need a programmer and link to the ECM of your vehicle. In some cases, there is a secondary control unit for the transmission, so linking up can be difficult. Easiest way to take care of your speedo difference is take the truck to the dealership where they have the programming and the computers to do the job. There are also speed shops that can do the same, perhaps for a little less money. Now according to a program I used, if you are doing 60 mph with the old tires, the new ones you will be doing 60 mph when your speedo shows 56.4 mph. So not a big difference in speed, but a fairly big difference in your tire size overall. Dont forget to check your brakes, as those larger tires actually need a stronger brake to keep them in check. Good luck.

They have to do it at the dealers ship with a downloader>I have a 04.5=auto= 315 X12.5 X17 =34" tall my speedo is 10 mph off> The computer thinks I'm going slower so it hold first gear in longer more low end power + 10000 extra mile more warrenty>Your call>I don't think they cal= that high of tires and they charge $40 to $100> I'm getting 20mpg Hwy with a 100hp quadzilla mod>Just remember the error difference>As the trans shift points will change>There a lot better with the slow speedo>
Your stock tires were 265x17 so don't cal= from 285x17>

I have a 2004 ram 1500. Had a set of factory 20 inch rims given to me for a 100 bucks. They were a bit taller then the 17 inch that came on the truck. Went to the dealer, twenty minuets and 65 bucks later the speedometer was back to being right. I was more worried that my wife would use the truck and get a speeding ticket, then anything else.

The Dodge dealer can do it in just a few minutes. Just measure the circumference of the tire, divide by 5280 (thats how many feet are in a mile) that is the revolutions per mile the new tire will turn, the tech can program this into the ABS module using the DRBIII scan tool. Example: tire is 9 feet around, program 587 revolutions per mile into ABS module. Most Dodge techs should be aware of how to do this.

Depends on the truck, either with a speedo gear upgrade or ECU reprogram

one way is to get a superchip programer and you can do it through there. or find a place to re flash your computer. it will not auto adjust at all.
