I'm making those cinnamon- applesauce ornaments this year and I'm wondering how much it's going to cost to get the cinnamon I need. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup for one batch. So how much will 1/2 cup or a couple of cinnamon cost? It can be the cheap stuff, I don't care.

Good Cinnamon is expensive. I would say a small tin of cinnamon (2oz or 56 gr.) I would say about 1/8 of a cup was $5.00 at WalMart about 2 weeks ago. Now you can buy cheaper Cinnamon that may do just as good in your applesauce. I think I would go that route.

Good luck and I hope it turn out wonderful.

if you have a Costco membership then you can get 10.7 oz jar of ground saigon cinnamon for under $4. That size jar will yield just under 4 cups.

Here it costs 87 cents for 40 grams or so. This is the price for the grounded stuff, not the sticks. Sticks are more expensive but not that useful.
