I am overweight and in school, a very hard thing. I have alot of friends, I dress well but dont feel like I look well. We are shooting a school movie and I need to look better... I have a new diet plan to begin and I know some workouts, but what will be the most EXTREMELY affective? And does my goal seem reasonable?
Thanks!

best diet follows and swimming is good low impack exercise. Jogging is bad on the ankels and knees.

It is important to maintain a good diet so you don't compromise your health. Damage done because of lack of nutrition is not worth a nice body. Some diet damage cannot be fixed.

When you deprive your brain, the brain will take other body cells to convert to the elements that it needs. And the cells it takes are BRAIN cells. OOPS. I don't want to lose brain cells to have thin legs. But I would like to have both.

Also, a quick weight loss is usually a water loss and that loss will come back ASAP. You cannot loose FAT more than 2 to 3 pounds a week. Any more than that and you are loosing water and muscle mass (not good) Your heart is a muscle

AND DON'T GO ON A DIET. DECIDE TO MAKE A LIFE CHANGE TO A HEALTHY LIFE STYLE.

1) fruits and veggies, all you want, organic, raw, vine-ripe if possible. Steamed is OK,sauteed is OK even canned or frozen is OK, but lots of them.
2) limited or no meat.
3) nothing fried
4) no FAST FOOD- is junk, no nutrition, empty calories
5) NO PROCESSED FOOD. if you can't pronounce it don't eat it.
6) nothing white, salt, sugar, mayo, milk, (or at least in moderation.
7) NO DAIRY-dairy is great for baby cows, your body does not even digest it properly. check out www.notmilk.com
8) EXERCISE- and be sure to refresh your body with water and fresh fruit
9) NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS. Muscle is made from water, replace the water. You get enough protein from the food you eat, You get more protein from spinach than the supplements you take and your body does not get toxic on food protein the way it will with supplements. Supplements can really tax you liver.
10) Good supplement would be Omega 3, and B-12 and Juice Plus+
http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/Home....
11) NO CARBONATED DRINKS, or at least limited. They actually dissolve the calcium in your bones.
12) Calories in calories out.

AND DON'T GO NUTS, MODERATION.

And the spell check would not work, so if I messed up please forgive

Will you email me? I'd be happy to give you thoughts. A healthy goal is usually 2lbs per week. I want you to know that now but there is a lot that you can do to make a great change in a month.
Please remember, this is a lifestyle change not just a month change & it will be tempting during the Holiday season but you can start a great workout regime.

Send me a message & I'll give you helpful tips that I know that doesn't include any gimicks so you can do this healthy & right!

ok that was a stupid comment "good luck" what a waste of time to read. no offense girly but he wanted an answer to his question not a good luck
ok workouts that are EXTREMELY effective. your goal is reasonable because i know 1person who lost 40lbs in about a month.he was on a special diet and he worked out.
cardiovascular workouts are really good like running, riding a bike, swimming, roller blading, or something like that.
do lots of ab workouts like sit ups, butterfly's, leg lifts, or any other ab workout you can find to do. while you are doing this this is gonna sound wierd but trust me do it my brother is in wrestling and this is how he loses wait INCREDIBLY FAST

first he puts on a layer of sweats (black because black attracts heat) then he cuts a whole in top of the trashcan for his head. (this sounds corny but the plastic holds in your body heat and trashbags aren't that expensive) then he puts another layer of sweats on (or jeans can work too) make sure you have a long sleave shirt usually a hoody. he gets in the school shower like that, turns all the showers on hot and does jumping jacks for about 10 minutes (DRINK LOTS OF WATER BEFORE AND AFTER U DO THIS) try to drink lots of water the day before as well. have someone there to make sure you dont get hurt from heat exhausten. or you can put all that stuff on and go running or some kind of cardiovascular workout to make you sweat.
good luck man hope you lose lots of wait

Sounds like you got the motivations, and thats whats important when it comes to loosing weight! something extreme..hm, sit-ups, it worked for me;
i remember when wanted to lose weight fast, i just ate less carbs( any bread like foods) and more vegies&fruits, and did a alot of sit ups. I started with doing 10 in the mornings, then added 5 more each day, do sit ups b4 you eat, never on a full stomach, and go up to 40 sit ups 2 or 3 times a day.
Good luck! and remember..nothing is impossible!

wow...a lot of weight in a very short amount of time...Cut your food intake in half...preferably less. And CARDIO. LOTS AND LOTS of cardio...Don't lift weights...just lots of cardio. SWEAT AND SWEAT some more...the day before the shoot don't eat anything. Drink water and nothing else.

EDIT: I'm a wrestler and have done some serious weight loss before. I've had to lose 6 pounds in just a few hours and I've lost .5lbs in 30 minutes. Just pile on the sweatshirts and get running. Up hills or stairs or on the bike. It doesn't matter. JUST SWEAT.

And don't eat..Also poop if you can right before the shoot...It makes you looks skinnier.

Look up the pilates exercise called, "planking." If you can do it for longer than one minutes, then I will be incredibly impressed. It is very hard to do, it works every muscle in your entire body and it only takes less than one minute per day! Who can't carve out one minute of their morning routine? Lazy people, that's who! It's intensive, but doesn't suck up hours of your time. If you can't exercise one day, just do some quick planking and that's better than nothing. Good for TONING up.

Another one is frog hops. Again, they don't take long. Probably five minutes or so. Do them before you plank.

There. That's six minutes of exercise in the morning that won't kill you.... and there is ZERO excuse for not doing them!

25 lbs in 7 weeks is doable provided you stick to your program from right now till you reach your goal.
I lost 30 lbs for my wedding and I was travelling a lot for my work so I had to really work hard

Below is a copy of my plan.

Breakfast Options
1 handful of all bran cereal with 150 ml of skimmed milk
1 boiled egg with a piece of whole wheat toast with mustard

Lunch Options
5 leaves of lettuce with 1 piece of fish

Dinner Options
1 piece of grilled meat with 4 leaves of lettuce
Omlette cooked in a non stick pan with a piece of whole wheat toast

Snack
half a cereal bar or a yoghurt

Exercise
30 mins cardio everyday
3 sets of ab crunches and 30 sets of leg raises ( 20 reps per set)
if you go to a gym do 3 to 5 exercises for each part of your body

Most important
Drink a lot of water - 8 to 10 glasses
No sugar in your tea or coffee
there should be a 3 to 4 hours time period between your last meal and the time you go to bed

Give up anything made with flour... bread, pasta, etc. Eat meat and vegetables. Then walk for 30 minutes a day, taking one day off in the week. I doubt that you'll be able to take off 25 lbs by New Years, though. It wouldn't be healthy anyway.
