Yes, they really did - and cut their own throats. I watch Food Channel only because of Emeril's show. Their other offerings are not enough to induce me to watch - most of the other guys are jerks and the women make me wanna puke. Rachel Ray? Loud, obnoxious - her voice reminds me of fingernails dragging down a blackboard.
Sorry, Food Channel, but you screwed yourselves when you dumped Emeril. It's Discovery Channel and History Channel for me from now on. Good luck, Chef Emeril! Been nice to know ya!

Yes, they canceled his live show. He didn't sound too upset by it. His contract with the Food Network expires in May of '08 anyway, so don't be surprised to see him popping up somewhere else -- possibly in syndication-- after that.

Have'nt heard of this, if anything I would say he left the show, don't think he needs the dough at this point.
I know they cancelled Molto Mario.
