(the children's toys - adult toys are a different matter)

calling a toy Jesus would be strange for a Christian because it is a Hebrew name and half of Christians are not called Jesus, and the other half are named after the disiples. Its like calling your bear - Mathew,Mark,Luke or John - sounds ok to me.

Someone is about to get forty lashes for naming a teddy bear Mohammed. Of course, the people who enforce all these abhorrent Muslim Laws are a "small minority" according to many in this forum. My only question is this. Is
Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afganistan, and the 49 other Muslim Countries a "small minority"?

ONLY if the toy is a teddy bear and it's name is muhammed.

No. Wait. The teddy bear CAN'T be "evil" if it's named muhammed. Hmm. Scratch that.

So, if a teddy bear IS named muhammed, then it's not evil.

But you get prison time or public lashing for having a muhammed bear?

Okay. None of that makes any sense at all. It's almost like a girl being raped and then being punished for being raped (200 lashes and 6 months in prison).

Naming a Childs toy Mahommad is NOT insulting especially if that child is also named Mahommad. The whole relegion of Islam is becoming an insult to the rest of the world. Racism is a conditioning of others actions that effect us and Islam is jumping on any bandwagon to impress "their ways" on others to incite tesnion. No one can say they are not totally racist - incidents like this only add to the 'feelings' we have towards these people and we are being 'conditioned' to become against them what we dont want to be. This will give them the excuse to react physically against us in times to come. This relegion, i feel must be contained in their home countries and not allowed to spread splinter cells of trouble within the rest of the world.

No, but teddy bears are not traditional toys in Sudan (after all, bears are not native there) so they are seen as representing wild animals, not Winnie the Pooh-type anthropomorphised creatures.

Imagine an Islamic zookeper at Kentucky Zoo naming a snake "Jesus". Are you saying there are no fundamentalist Christians who would be offended by that?

It is not evil.In the west these things will be acceptable for a while, but in the countries which are true to Islam, these things are there for education and not distraction, for this is 'evil':

Cards, listening to music, keeping pigeons, flying kites and other frivolous activities are banned.

You cannot speak ill of the prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and one day (generations to come) this will come to an end.

What kind of question is that? Of course toys are not considered evil in Islam. Who told you such a thing?

Will it is OK for Christians if some one name a dog or a pig Jesus?

Off course Muslim will never do such a stupid thing out of
respect of Jesus being the Prophet of God for them.
