Through 3 years doing daycare with infants to preschoolers, and three of my own children I have found the best thing for constipation is plain old apple juice. It is not a chemical, it will not harm them and it tastes good. Plus they only need about an ounce or two. I am not sure why it works but they will usually go within the hour. To keep her from getting constipated try some juice once a day and remember to give lots of fresh veggies (steamed of course and soft enough for baby to eat). I hope this helped.

My daughter had this same problem at this age. The doctor told me to give her prune juice and to feed her prunes. So I would give her the prunes from Gerber and she loved them. Also take cheese and banana's and other things that can constipate you out of her diet.
Give her lots of fluids and and let her soak in a nice warm bath to relax her. That will help her go.
If it doesn't get better in a couple days I would call her doctor and let them know and they might be able to prescribe her a laxative that will help.
That is what my doctor did for my daughter and that helped her a lot.
Hopes this helps. :)

Warm apple or grape juice, warm tea. Hot chocolate always works for my kids. In one severe situation with my 20 month old, 3 sips of diluted coffee gave amazing results in about an hour.... Talk to your pediatrician, it could be an inbalance in diet that is causing a recurrence with constipation. Belly massage might also help. Good luck!!

Watch the amount of bananas and apples she eats since that causes constipation. Give her prunes, raisins, and/or grapes and you can sneak some prune juice in her regular juice. Give her lots of fluids. Ask the doctor first, but you can give a spoonful of mineral oil once in a while when she's really constipated. Hope this helps!

Applejuice, applesauce, grapes, or prunes will help with constipation. My daughter has constipation problems because her two most favorite things to eat are milk and cheese....both of which cause constipation, so I try to limit those as much as I can in her diet. Hope this helps!

I was always told applesauce makes a child have the runs. (held true with my kids too!)
if the problem persists you will have to go to the dr and get her some suppositories- this happenes often to a friend of mines kids

you can take prune juice for infants and mix with a little dr.pepper. helps disguise taste, and something about the soda really works in as little as 30 min.
