If they were married, who presided over the marriage? God?
Who was the best man? Satan?
Who was the maid of honour? The arch-angel Gabriel?
Come on get real. Genesis is a STORY.

What's your point? I know you think you've got one but, you don't.
According to the Bible, God had already made quite a point of them being sinners, so what did you expect.
Second, not all Christians believe the story of Adam and Eve. (A hush falls apon the crowd). No, really, it's true.
A Christian believes the words of Christ. Christ, for whatever reason, never mentioned Adam and Eve. Probably wasn't important enough.

God created woman for the man, meaning that Eve belonged to Adam at that instant, bible says "they became one flesh" which is an indication of marriage. Married couples become one in the act of lovemaking. When God speaks forth his word it is done, just as he spoke forth that Eve became his wife, it is done.

Xians wouldn't have a problem with Adam & Eve not being married and anyway, wasn't she just a feminised clone of him?
Xians are used to cherry picking their beliefs and moral standards - they're very flexible.
Slavery: okay one century and not the next.
Beating wives and children: okay one century and not the next.
Working on the sabbath: not okay one century; perfectly okay the next.
Polygamy: okay one century and not the next.
I won't go on; I'm boored.

Matt.19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

The Bible states that Eve was created from Adam's Rib.....In Genesis 2:18: "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.'....21. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man and he slept; then he took one of his ribs.....fashioned into a woman and brought her to the man. 24. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh.

It doesn't specifically mention the word married but it does say that God created one for the other and that he commanded them to cleave to eachother. I would interpret that to mean that God married them to eachother.
