YES, please look for your child. i grew up without my dad and he knows about me. it is very hurtful that he doesnt want me nor does he care about me. my mom never bugged him about it, she just let him know she was pregnant. im 19 now and i called him a few months ago (i found his number online). he still didnt want anything to do with me and it is very hard to be rejected by someone who created you. please contact this child of yours because they are probably thinking about you too and if they dont want to talk to you then at least they know that you tried and you know that you tried. that's all that counts. i only wish my father would give me the time of day. oh and by the way he already has a daughter, and i suppose that's good enough for him, but it still breaks my heart and probably will forever.

i had my daughter at 13 and gave her up when she was 8 monthes old and there is not a day that goes by that i dont think about what she looks like or what she is doing at this very moment. but i honestly believe she is better off where she is at and i dont want to cause her a shock( my daughter has down syndrom) so it may be a little different. i loved her then and i love her now but i couldnot provide for her. i have sence had 2 more children and i wonder if they look like her when she was 2 or 3 years old and it tears me aprt but i know she is better off. i still have some of her clothes and her very first blanket that she had and i will always keep them but i think her parents took good care of her and still do. i believe that everything you do happens for a reason no matter hw small or big it is

You may want to find the mom first and see what happens from there. You weren't ready for the choice she made then and she may need time to deal with you coming back into your sons life. It would only be fair and you need to make it as positve as possible to enter a young mans life at that age.
That being said, children do have a right to know for personal and health history reasons who thier real parent are. Good luck to you.

It is worth a try and the child is probably of an age where he/she really would like to know you. Be forewarned though contact may also mean financial assistance for college but what a small price to pay to get to know your child. Good Luck!

Yes, you should try to locate your son/daughter. Family is extremely important. I didn't know my father until I was eight years old and meeting him has had a wonderful impact on my life. I am now 20 and really appreciate that I know him, and his family. I strongly suggest that you do this. For you and for your son/daughter. He/she is probably out their wondering just like you are.

Definitely, but be understanding if he/she isn't ready to let you be a part of their life. It will be worth it.
