That Satan and Santa both consist of the exact same letters in only slightly different order? Or that both are red, carry a big stick, and enjoy lighting fires under their as*es? Isn't it just a wee bit more than strange that both consider themselves god-like (according to the written accounts), make grandiose promises of wealth and fortune, never come through, and payback's ALWAYS a b*tch in the end? Satan and Santa enslave the 'little people'. They both love their Jobs. And above and beyond all - neither exist in reality, but more than half the world believe in them!

Coincidence?

Ha. I think not.

8-}- You're a mean one, Mr.Grinch.

Ho ho ho.

I'm impressed! That Satan and Santa are anagrams of each other is certainly new business for me. You've made me wonder if there might really be some sort of mystical.... Naw! It's just a coincidence -- but a very interesting one to consider. Good question. Well done.

First I will say...Happy Birthday! Aw you are clergy. I too am Clergy for my religion. Then I will say...Devils Night? What night is that? Surely you don't mean October 31st? I was not aware the name had been changed from Halloween to Devil's Night, cause it reads Halloween on my calendar. You see sir, as a Wiccan, I don't believe in the Devil, I am sorry for you that you do. That you feel the need of a scape goat to blame your wrong doings upon. That you cannot take personal responsibility for your own wrong doings so you have to have a devil or a satan upon which to blame your wrong doings upon. Yes...I truly feel sorry for you. As for something more sinister? Only in you own mind. Because that is what YOU want to believe. The only sinister thing about the night is what you want to believe of it. And as long as there are people like you who give it credence then it will remain as such. I prefer my religions view of the night which if full of beauty and love. Were we can contact our loved ones who have crossed to the other side and remember how much we loved them. And tell them so. And there is nothing evil about that. I dont know where Santa Claus came from but Saint Nicholas really existed in the 4th century. He was a Bishop and was known to wear red vestments. He went from door to door on Christmas Eve giving mostly candy and little gifts to the children. Could it be that Satan worshippers concocted your "co-incidence"? Dont you atheists ever take a break?

No such thing as coincidence because there isn't anything that God doesn't know about BEFORE it happens.

But then the Satan theory is based on the idea that there is anything or anyone that surpasses UNconditional Love.

Free Will allows us to choose our temporary tangible conditional experience...... it's all "Xbox".

Blessings.
