how would i say that?^
i dont think id use the verb JUGAR, i thought it was TOCAR
help?

I am sorry but none of those answers that they gave you are correct. You would say :"Reuben Blades esta famoso porque tocaba musica salsa popular" that is better than the other ways they said it
You would say "tocaba" because you are using played which is past tense.
