We're supposed to have free-will, so seemingly we can take our decision, and God's fine with that. He gave us the free will after all, and He won't do anything to determine our will.
But, wouldn't it be considered and intervinence if the Holy Spirit presented you alternate ways or paths? Would that determine your will or not?

The Holy Spirit shows you the way, but you still must make a choice.

Accepting Jesus did not take away free will and we can always make are own decisions. However when we accept Christ doing whatever we what is not OK with God. In the Bible as believers we have work to for God and we need to follow the path God has for us. The Holy Spirit (Rom8:5-11) is a guide and helps us control our human nature. The Holy Spirit is small voice and feeling you get that taking that action is what is needed in your life. People always can say no and walk away.

LIFE presents you with alternate ways and paths through the decisions that you choose to make.
I know Christians will disagree due to their irrational nature but if the Holy Spirit interferes in your life then you no longer have free will. That is why children get cancer, good people die prematurely, and sometimes life is unfair. If God were to pick and choose which prayers to answer, which people to help, who was more worthy then we would no longer be equal in his eyes.

You always have a choice. As long as you are capable of making decisions you will always have free will. Holy Spirit can only intervene if you allow him to.

I think once in awhile the Holy Spirit intervenes. He has intervened in my life and left the choices to me.
I have wished he would come a lot more. My life would be much easier.

Look at the pattern of a tree. Not all tree's are the same. They grow different; shapes, sizes, brances. There was outside influences and inside influences that made the tree the way it is. However, it follows the basic fundamental process of other tree's ... so too is the HS.

No, not at all. This is where God is stepping in and trying to guide you back on the straight and narrow path because you are strying into dagerous territory with your decisions. When you feel that tug at you to do what is right in His eyes you should follow Him. He does know what is best for you even when you think you know better. Trust in Him.

I believe our paths have already been chosen if you are a believer, I mean if you believe in God your actions are predictable. Everything else is predicted by people who will either have a negative effect or a positive one on you, you can't control that. The question is, will the actions of others cause you to lose faith in God when he doesn't interfere to set things right? It is easy to say I believe, but in times of trial, it is not. ;-)
