If I had more time to plan and coordinate some things, I would want to, but perhaps not for the reasons Y!A intended this thing to be. Hopefully for the next one, Yahoo might want to consider having it somewhere that people might actually want to visit, say Las Vegas or New Orleans for example.

Dani G - Count me in! Both are great destinations, but the the Caribbean would actually be possible for the most amount of people.

As Darth Maul pointed out, I'm sure Yahoo doesn't care what we think. To that I say I really don't care either, because if I went, they'd hear me whether they liked it or not.

Sookie - The wild quotient would be off the charts!

I'll still buy the beer but considering I have to come up with a cross-country flight in about 48 hours, I don't think that's happening.

New Orleans would be killer though, especially since we're in the music category. I say a guy play Beethoven on about 25-30 crystal glasses while there which to this day blows my mind.

I was really apprehensive about attending last year's Y!A party on the campus in Sunnyvale.

But, I gotta admit, it ended up far surpassing any notions I may have preconceived. It was a super experience to meet the people behind the avatars and the yamsters were quite receptive and accommodating.

Having resided in DC for a stint, I have no plans to attend the shindig this year however, free beer or not!

*** Thank You Mickey Thomas

Is Huevo still buying the beer?

Oh wait.

I'm out of vacation days until next month.

Damn.

*** Either way, here are my options: Stay at home and spend time with the wife and son, and with any luck some *ahem* "special moments" with the wife; or go to DC and listen to a lot of drivel from people who won't listen to my opinion anyway. Free beer or not, staying at home sounds like a better idea.

Since I'm in SoCal, it's looking quite unlikely at this point. I need to save my money for a Throw Rag show anyway.
Even if I was in DC, unless a select few people from R&P were going, I would probably end up at the National Mall and the different museums.

No way Sookie, I hate DC. I have to go there four times a year for work anyway.
Besides like Mike said, think anyone at Yahoo give a sniddle for us peasant's opinions anyway...no.

Nope, if I was going to take a trip to DC, I wouldn't spend my time with people from Y!A. That's something I do everyday.. I'd want to go to the Smithsonian, cause I'm a nerd.
