Quick and Easy Doughnuts
1 container buttermilk refrigerator biscuits
cooking oil (enough to fill pan to 1")
cinnamon and sugar
prepared frosting or powdered sugar
Heat oil until it is very hot. With a doughnut cutter, cut biscuits. Drop in hot oil. Flip as they brown - it only takes a minute, depending on how hot the oil is. Cook the centers also.
Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Ice with prepared frosting, coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture or powdered sugar as desired.
Makes 10 doughnuts and 10 doughnut centers.

OK. I can't convert measurements, but I can tell you a couple easy way to make donuts. 1. Use store bought pizza dough (most pizza places will sell this to you if you ask.) Roll it flat and cut it into pieces (any shape works.) drop carefully into hot oil. When they are golden brown they are done. Put them immediately into a paper bag with Cinnamon and sugar in it and shake well. 2. Buy a cake mix( any flavor you want.) Follow the directions on the box. Instead of baking, drop the batter by the spoonful into hot oil. These will be like "donut holes." Again they are done once golden brown. These will take a little longer to cook. You can leave these or shake in powder sugar or Cinnamon sugar if you like. The first ones will be lighter and the second ones more dense and cake like. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Funnel Cakes
1 cup water
3/4 stick butter (6 tablespoons)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1 cup eggs, about 4 large eggs and 2 whites
Vegetable oil, for frying
Powdered sugar, for topping
Boil water, butter, sugar, and salt together in a saucepan. Add flour and work it in until it is all incorporated and dough forms a ball. Transfer mixture to the bowl of a standing mixer and let cool for 3 to 4 minutes. With mixer lowest speed, add eggs, 1 at a time, making sure the first egg is completely incorporated before continuing. Once all eggs have been added and mixture is smooth, put dough in a piping bag fitted with a number 12 tip. Heat about 1 1/2 inches of oil in a heavy pan. Pipe dough into oil, making a free-form lattice pattern; cook until browned, flipping once. Remove cake from oil, drain on paper towels, and top with powdered sugar. Continue until all of the batter is used.
