Up until that point, no one really wanted the land... much less anything to do with the Palestinians.
They cannot get along with each other, so why would anyone think that peace talks would help them get along with Israel? They are still fighting amongst themselves in their own government... unlike republicans and democrats arguing back and forth, they throw grenades, shoot rockets and break out the AK-47s.

Also, you might want to read the part of the Bible between Exodus and Judges where the Jews fess up to killing the people of Palestine to take their land. This was absent from urinalysis. I mean your "analysis."

Land cannot be owned only used and left to the future generations. War and bloodshed are not of God, and it was never God's intent that there be anything but peace. Once again (just like in Eden) PEOPLE came along and messed it up. Maybe we should (and I mean this in all seriousness) ASK GOD WHAT TO DO and then just do it......we certainly haven'e had much luck trying to "solve" it by ourselves.
