TASLEEMA NASREEN is a hot cake these days. May be she always was but for all the wrong reasons. I mean, let's be honest, how many of us even knew her before she came out of her closet with her profane piece of writing? She certainly has a large audience now, considering the "HATE ISLAM" campaign running all over the world. Not surprising how she has found sudden admirers in the prejudiced political parties of India. I have no complaints as I know she will only manage to influence people who were, as it is, waiting for a voice to reverberate their hatred for the religion. What bothers me is the way Muslims are behaving towards the whole issue. I understand that she has vomited her blasphemy in the name of books but are’nt we Muslims living up to her misconceptions about ISLAM and Muslim men by behaving equally bad with her? After all she is a woman. Don’t you think the best way to prove her wrong in her prejudices about ISLAM is by being tolerant with her? Even if she is trying to gain any cheap publicity by doing such things, by ignoring her we will have bursted her bubble even before it takes shape? Most importantly, Why and How did we forget what our PROPHET MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H) taught us? Did HE (P.B.U.H) not suffer; at the hands of HIS (P.B.U.H) own people when HE (P.B.U.H) set out to spread the word of ALLAH? Had ISLAM been the second most followed religion in the world if HE (P.B.U.H) would have reacted the way we are reacting today? There are several HADITHS which hint us at how HE (P.B.U.H) would have handled HIS (P.B.U.H) or critics of ISLAM in today's scenario.

To begin with, PROPHET HAS SAID "HE, WHO IS NOT MERCIFUL TO OTHERS, WILL NOT BE TREATED MERCIFULLY", BUKHARI (073:042)

Let us see .how he practiced what HE (P.B.U.H) preached.....

1. His story with the Jewish neighbor who used to THROW GARBAGE at his doorsteps:
The Prophet had this Jewish neighbor. Everyday the neighbor would throw his garbage at the Prophet’s door! Then, one day, the garbage stopped appearing. The Prophet wondered why and asked people about what had happened to his neighbor. He was told that the neighbor was sick, in bed. So, the Prophet went and visited his Jewish neighbor to make sure he’s OK and to wish him well. So touched was the Jewish neighbor that he later converted to Islam.

2. His story with the people of Ta’if who’s children STONED him:
One day the Prophet visited the village of Ta’if near Mecca. He was hoping to find support amongst the people of that area after he was shunned by many of his own tribe in Mecca. Instead of support, he was faced by a mob of children, sent by their parents to throw stones at him. He was hit by the hail of stones. He was bleeding, and was barely able to escape into an orchard. He could have asked for God’s wrath to be brought down upon the village, but instead he prayed that one day these people will see the light.

3. His story with his tribe after he conquered Mecca:
When the Prophet’s army finally conquered his hometown Mecca, many of the leaders of his tribe were filled with fear. They feared the conqueror’s retribution. Most of them NEVER BELIEVED in him. They TORTURED and KILLED many of his followers and CONSPIRED TO KILL HIM in the early days of his Prophethood. What did the Prophet do? He told them: “Go. You are free!”

ARE WE EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO THIS?

All those of you passing abuive remarks here, just one point before you proceed further, I have a HADITH for you, PROPHET(P.B.U.H) said "he who abuses others has abused his own parents as when he abuses others, people give back those abuses towards his parents" So if you enjoy abusing your parents...please carry on, I am only enjoying the read.

As far as belief is converned we are just responsible to deliver the mesage clearly, Allah is self sufficient & stern in retribution.
As far as Taslima Nasreen is concerned , Poor lady, she does not know what she is heading for.... I am refering to the world HEREAFTER.

Quran Chapter 43 Az-Zukhruf.
74
But the criminals will abide in the punishment of hell.

75
Their punishment will never be lightened, and they shall remain despair therein.

76
We did not wrong them, but it is they who wronged themselves.

77
They will cry: "O Malik (the keeper of hell)! Let your Rabb put and end to us." But he will answer:
"Nay! You are going to live forever."

78
We have brought you the truth, but most of you hate the truth.

Quran Chapter 16
35
The mushrikin say: "If Allah wanted, neither we nor our forefathers would have worshipped any one else but Him, nor made anything unlawful without His will." Such excuses were put forward also by those who went before them. Yet Rasools have no more responsibility than to convey the Message clearly.

36
No doubt We raised in every nation a Rasool, saying: "Serve Allah and keep away from Taghut (Satanic forces)." After that, Allah guided some of them while deviation proved true against the others. So travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who denied Our Message.

Quran Chapter 3 Al-I'Imran
20
So if they argue with you (O Muhammad), tell them: "I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and so have those who follow me." Then ask those who are given the Book and those who are illiterates: "Will you also submit yourselves to Allah?" If they become Muslims they shall be rightly guided but if they turn back, you need not worry, because your sole responsibility is to convey the Message. Allah is watching all His servants very closely.

21
Warn those who deny Allah's revelations, slay the Prophets without any justification, and kill those from among the people who enjoin justice about the news of a painful punishment.

22
They are the ones whose deeds will become void in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.

Quran chapter 16 An-Nahl
81
Allah has provided you shades from the sun out of what He has created. He has granted you resorts in the mountains, has granted you garments to protect yourselves from heat; and coats of armor to protect you during your wars. Thus He completes his favors to you, so that you may become Muslims.

82
If they still give no heed to you O Muhammad, you need not worry, for your duty is only to convey the message clearly

Quran Chapter 42 Ash-Shura
48
Now if they give no heed, they should know that We have not sent you, O Muhammad, to be their keeper. Your only duty is to convey My message. Man is such that when We give him a taste of Our Mercy, he is very happy about it; but when, through his own fault, an evil afflicts him, he becomes utterly ungrateful."

Quran Chapter 109 Al-Kafirun
1
Say: O unbelievers!

2
I worship not that you worship,

3
nor will you worship that which I worship.

4
I shall never worship those gods whom you worship,

5
nor it appears will you ever worship Allah, whom I worship.

6
to you be your religion, and to me mine.

Gentleman,

From where this "HATE ISLAM campaign running all over the world" has been brought in?.

You think it's because the whole world is against you or you are against the whole world?

Your question "Are we even remotely close to this". The answer is a big 'no' otherwise you wouldn't be perceiving this 'hate islam' campaign anywhere.

One straight question I have for you and other 'blind' followers of any religion. If your God is so almighty and flawless, why would he keep his 'beloved children' in the midst of so many Kafirs, unbelievers, sin-committers make you to suffer?

What are the misconceptions, for many years the history in India has shown Islamic rulers to be cruel and ruthless. I dont know where you read your history from.

Whats wrong in thinking that people who practice that faith have no good for others ? we have been witnessing this torture and hatred for centuries the creation of Pakistan and killings afterwards are a grim reminder of what people who have a "superiority complex" about themselves can do to others.

Where was your faith when this country got partitioned and millions people killed under the name of Islam ?

Stop blaming others and start introspecting we only get what we do, as per Bhagvadgita thats called as Law of Karma.

So if there is a "misconception and hatred" for Islam today you know the cause lies with Islam itself cure the cause and everything else will be fixed.

In all such discussions (even in case of Salman Rushdie) everyone ignores the actual content of the book. I guess Taslima has defined the Freedom for women as Freedom to have any man's child in her womb. If it is acceptable for those who fight for her, then they can continue to support her. for the musllims who are deadly against her, we have to politley remind them that God like the people who forgets and forgives other's mistakes. Not only in this issue, but in all other aspects of life muslims (majority) have forgottoen the teachings of the Prophet(pbuh). That is why muslims are in a bad shape today as a community.

great post!!! I try my best to obey my mother even though she is Christian and I am Muslim sometimes its hard to because we both have different views but I do help her as much as possible and Allah knows im intetntions and the only thing I do disobey her on is when she wants me to do things against Allah other then that I try my best to follow as Allah wants and Allah rewards us if we are patient even if our parents don't deserve respect. I think that a lot of kids now days disobey there parents maybe because of where they are for example in the west alot of kids show no respect and they want to fit it with the western culture, if you compare it to the Muslim countries there parents are priority 1 and are taken care of or some kids are just disobedient. there is also a hadith that states. the prophet said (SAW) "One who cuts off his family ties does not enter the Garden of Paradise

"...considering the "HATE ISLAM" campaign running all over the world."

Actually it's Westerners trying to defend themselves after seeing the kind of human rights violations that take place in the name of Shariah law and the bombings that have harmed civilians, Muslims, and non-Muslims in Western Countries. What other religion has 80% of its proponents believe that Western Civilization should come to an end.

Stop turning this into a politically correct persecution issue. It's about radicalism that threatens all of us.

Nasreem has many good points as a feminist author, and Muslims refuse to listen because they've been conditioned never to question religious fundamentalism. It defines their life, their government, and their society -- and look at it! Low standards of living, poor economic policies, little freedom for women (save Turkey -- they were smart enough to have a secular government and use Islam as a force for good).

As long as Muslims continue to ignore serious issues brought up by women like Nasreen, Islam will be stuck in the dark ages and unable to help its believers adapt to the modern world.

Yes I agree with you dear muslim. We muslims should study Muhammad pbuh history to know how he treated the people who hated muslims and Islam at his era.We should understan d all his hadits as the complement of Qur'an which is included as our life guide. We should practise Qur'an and hadith in our daily lives if we want to be happy and safety here on this earth and in the life after death.Muhammad pbuh prayed to Allah when he was thrawn by stones at Thaif (his teeth were broken) that the people who hated him, their hearts would be changed by Allah. He did not say his prayer to Allah fo condemning those people.
If other religion followers criticised muslims and Islam we should (1)act properly if we have power to do that or (2)we should speak or write about it as the real fact if we have competency for it and the weakest act (3)hope Allah will change their bad attitude.
to us.
We do not allow to retaliate them with hatred ( bad doing) but we should react and them with love...Allah is merciful.

Brothers and Siters,
Thanks alot for your pleading for showing consideration to a woman! And telling how Prophet was tolerant ?
Those days have gone and will never come back!
We are living in a fast changing world.
The plea "Give them time they turn round the corner!" does not work.
The tribe which revels in "notoriety" says :
"Badnam huvey to kya?
Nam na huva?"
(What if we got notoriety? Didnt we get name in it?)
They will go on writing more and more nonnsense about their undigested religion.
Stop them from further harm to your posterity!

Your articles too long.

Just to answer your first question, there is no Hadith that shows the Garbage incident is true for the original Muhammad. This has been borrowed from the life of another mans life story and added into lessons at Schools, If I am correct it was the life Abdul Beha.

As far as how merciful Muhammad was, I suggest you ponder over the number of battles he waged through out his life, and you will certainly come across how nice this person was.

Taslima Nasreen has ripped Islam to pieces, you should be familiar with what the prophet said and did to people who objected to his lies.

As Salaamu Alaykum

I am sorry for not answering your earlier question I was being lazy & didn't feel like reading it.
Thank you SO much for posting this. I totally agree that we are not hardly anything like the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) He (S.A. W.) was very merciful. I do think that a good way to burst her bubble is to ignore her.

May Allah bless us with a character similar to the Prophet Muhammad's (S.A.W.) . . .Ameen
May He (s.w.t) forgive us & guide us to the straight path. . .Ameen.

Ma'a Salaamah
