I think they're more like zealots that can't tolerate anybody else's point of view, so they try to wipe everything opposing them and all the evidence of it away from the earth.
Or is that so close to the actuality that it's no longer an analogy?

You are assuming that what "report trolls" do is WRONG. It is not. They have EVERY RIGHT to report questions and answers which violate the Community Guidelines. God does not need to condone nor reject what they do, unless they are reporting maliciously incorrectly. Forgive others as I have forgiven you. I’m not here to win a popularity contest, but to witness to and speak the TRUTH.

No. School hall monitors had that job to do. Report trolls just think it's their job.

In general they are probably fearful, angry, offended, pessimistic, small-minded, bigoted.
Fearful is the biggest one of most religions.
And all these symptoms multiply when they get on the computer due to the impersonal nature and lack of consequences when reporting.

They are worse.
Report trolls make up their own rules and we are suppose to follow them, but no one told us that if we disagreed it means we broke a rule.

They report us because they "think" we offended them, when the truth is that they report you so that they won't have to really notice where the negative thoughts have arisen! Peace and Blessings...

I just see them as people who do not want to deal with anything that could be considered conflictful, so anything that makes you think or disagree with, they ax the question/answer
