Do they mean I am gonna put water on them or something?

no it doesn't mean put water on them it means no gifts

I would think they are saying "no gifts" in a round about way.
But if you want, phone and ask because there is nothing worse than turning up empty handed or worrying if you have got it wrong.

LOL they mean no gifts....if you wanted to be a smarta$$ though you can take a squirt bottle filled with water, spray them and shout "I BLESS YOU!"....But I wouldn't recommend it :P
