No. Man is mortal.

"What is mortal man that you keep him in mind,
And the son of earthling man that you take care of him?" -Psalm 8:4 (see also Isaiah 51:12; Job 4:17)

The apostle Paul told first century Christians that "this which is mortal must put on immortality". (1 Corinthians 15:53) Only those who are annointed with God's holy spirit will receive immortality when they are resurrected to heaven.

Humans are souls, they do not have souls. Genesis 2:7 says that Adam, when created, became a living soul. It does not say that he was given a living soul. Hence, a man is a soul. "The soul that is sinning- it itself will die" says Ezekiel 18:4, 20. If something can die, is it immortal? For a wonderful description of the mortality of man, read Chapter 14 of Job.

The idea that humans have some sort of immortal spirit, or soul, comes from ancient pagan religions that false "Christians" have interwoven into their beliefs.

Not unless I think that by giving birth, a part of me goes on.
Under that premise,my ancestors are still around too. Immortality is highly over-rated.

For as long as it pleases God, yes I am. And by Christ's word, I am immortal as long as I follow God's word.
