the only way to do this is by putting it on yourself somehow, such as in a coat pocket, or underneath it.
they will take it away otherwise! know from experience and we had A LOT more food than 3 pounds of cheese :D

There's no restrictions on bringing a few pounds of cheese cheese into Thailand, just pack it in your suitcase and you should be fine.

Sure you can. Just make sure you seal in the smell or you get inquisitive customs officials wanting to know what the strange smell is. Remember they are not cheese eaters.

Why not buy cheese there ? They have Lotus (aka Tesco) and many other good food stores with a wide range of farang food.
