Dear Friend,
I hope the following information will be helpful:
The Apostle Paul was imprisoned in Rome in A.D. 61, and there wrote his prison Epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. His imprisonment ended approximately three years later during the year that Rome was burned, which was in May A.D. 64 (see Acts 28:30). During is brief freedom, Paul may have visited western and eastern Europe and Asia Minor--he also wrote hi first Epistle to Timothy and his Epistle to Titus.
At first, Nero was blamed for setting fire to Rome, so to direct the blame away from himself he blamed the Christians. As a result, a fierce persecution broke out against them. During it, Paul was arrested and put back into prison in Rome. While in prison this second time he wrote his second letter to Timothy. It was his last.
Not long after, he was judged guilty of crimes against the Emperor and condemned to death. He was taken to the execution block and beheaded. It was A.D. 66, just four years before Jerusalem fell.
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
lostnsavd...

The Bible does not tell us how or when the apostle Paul died, and history does not provide us with any information. The only thing we have to go on is Christian tradition, which has Paul being behead in Rome, around the mid 60s A.D., during the reign of Nero.

Hello,
It does not mention how Paul died but other sources do though it could be legend.
Anyway being a Roman citizen, Paul would have had a swift execution. Even under the watch of the most corrupt emperors it was against the law to crucify or flog a Roman citizen. That's why the Roman governor Felix fell of his chair so to speak when he found out Paul, a citizen had been illegally whipped.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

It's not in the bible, it's in an apocryphal work known as "The Acts of Paul." Most of the traditions about what happened to the different apostles come from apocryphal works:
The Death of Paul="The Acts of Paul"
The Death of Peter="The Acts of Peter"
The Death of John="The Acts of John the Apostle"
The list goes on. Hardly any of the information about the apostles or their fates comes from the bible.

Paul died?!?!?! I didn't even know he was sick!
But seriously, there are no references in the Bible to Paul dying. The book of Acts talks about Paul's arrest and house arrest in Rome awaiting his trial and sentencing and leaves it at that.
Eusebius (sp?) wrote that church tradition hold that Paul was beheaded in Rome but that's all we really know.

There are no references. In II Timothy, Paul eludes to the fact that he knows his time is short, but the Bible does not record his death.

There are no references concerning Paul's death in the Bible. I don't believe we know for sure how he died. Some believe that Romans killed him by crucifying him or beheading.

Nowhere. However, I believe that history tells us that Paul was put to death by order of Nero.
