I just purchased a 2002 Nissan Altima with 76K. I had the throttle body fixed besides that it only needs regular maintenance. How much longer do you think I can use it for? I drive approx. 10k a year or less. Also I have a 99 NIssan Altima with 98K No problems and is regurlarly maintained. How much on that one? Thank You =)

You should be able to easly get 150k out of each of them with out starting to run into replacing parts. 175k if they are perfectly maintaned and driven well. they are still good cars after that but you will just start replacing parts. On the older Altima you should start thinking about replacing the timing belt soon and while you are getting that done get them to give it a very thorough inspection to identify any problems that may start to show up soon. Also it may be a good idea to start using a high milage oil especialy on the '99 that will extend its life even more. But yes nissans are extremely reliable and with your low mileage per year they will both last you atleast five or even more years.

With good maintenance either car should go at least 200,000 miles. The last Nissan I owned went over 300,000 miles and all we ever did, besides regular maintenance, is replacing the clutch and the carb.
