I am after a personalised rubber stamp mounted in the usual way (on a wooden block) with lettering and an image. I cannot find any sites which allow me to have letters AND an image. Please help, I am in the UK.

I'm not sure if they ship to the UK, but I would try:
Stamp-Connection

Good luck!

This place will make a rubberstamp out of anything you can draw, photocopy, stamp, etc., whether it's images or text.... just anything that would be dark lines (this page gives all the info about them):
http://www.polyclay.com/ready.htm
Many other local or mail order places that "make rubberstamps" will probably do the same thing, but this place is run by the Cerebral Palsy Association and is pretty cheap for what they do so I like to support them. I assume they'll mail to the UK, but you'd have to ask to be sure.
They send back a 9x7" rectangle of rubber with all your images on it (exactly the same as the paper you'd send them with your images/text).
You would have to mount the finished rubber image yourself though (...just cut around it with scissors, then glue to a block of wood or piece of acrylic, etc.). Doing that is really simple.
(If you ask, they'll also send the other two pieces they use to make the stamps so you can use the images as "molds" as well as stamps, etc.)
Good luck,
Diane B.

Your local prontaprint will make stamps for you or try :
sforstamps website for information. They will prepare A4 or A5 sheets of stamps from your own artwork, you just need to leave enough space between the images to allow for cutting out. You will need to mount them on your own blocks, but they do come with a self adhesive backing and are really easy to use. Reasonably priced too considering the number of stamps you will make in one go, it's a great way of making stamps from your own artwork.
